I didnt really see chelsea's game. A few highlights but not enough to comment on the ref.
Ours was shocking. He kept control OK, but some of his bookings and free kick decisons (Aggers booking, and Sissoko when he was off injured free kick) were shocking. Just a normal euro ref who blew up way way way too often.

the Liverpool game really wasnt that bad.
In a biased (and I would like to think honest) opinion, I would say we had more of the play in 20-25mins of the first half and most of the second half. Should of scored more than 1 if it wasnt for some poor crossing in the first by Riise. And were more than enough to get 3 in the second.
Still, 2-1 away from home is amazing, and really really hope fortress Anfield lives upto its name- I'll be there.

Oh, also to add they had some good chances too. One in first that was given off side by Reina saved anyway. And an excellent in second when Saviola easily went past Carra but Arbeloa got a great block in on his debut at LB when he is a RB really!

That chance for Saviola that eventually fell for Messi... I was thinking "he's gonna pass it to Guily and it'll be 2-2". But he actually never Couldn't believe it. But wasn't complaining

No, that was a fantastic chance.
Saviola should of scored, but the tackle from Arbeloa, at LB when he is a RB, was amazing! Great debut!!

I only saw bits of the Liverpool/Chelsea games then went out for footy at half time. I thought Bellamys goal looked like it came off Kuyt though??

btw topshot you complete nobend, shows you how bitter and unedictaed you are trying to put a jibe in about us being out of the FA cup, at least your realistic about your amibitions
BTW ref had a poor first half specifically, I only hope in the return leg we can sway the ref with the noise as much as happened last night

Ahh yes this is true... Jose reckons Essien will be replacing him again. IMO Terry shouldn't have played last night cos his ankle was strapped up during training earlier in the week. Least that way he would have been fit (in theory) for the Carling Cup AND fit for the second leg against Porto...

I thought he played ok, he's good at applying pressure, I can understand why non-liverpool fans wouldn;t rave about him as he can go in hard sometimes and he's not a player of the beautiful game but he is consistently giving 110% in every game for us keeps the shape well, we will miss him being out again
