i cant fit the shocks with the mounts.. without fabrication/bodgeing spacers between the shock piston and mount.
theres 70mm of play at least.so.. not willing to drive a bodg'd car. itll put my life and other track users at risk.
nothing has ever been skinped on.. im not starting now.

Dont matter now...he's already got it in bits with more coming off it everyday.
Such a shame, not even a big problem but he doesnt want to have things fabricated to fit...
Ah well, anyone who buys parts off it, they have done next to no milage on the car and its all in new/mint condition...so you will be happy with it for sure!

im giving up...
cos once a car is not fun to drive.. there no point in havin it.
in my mind if i know there a random couple of bit of alu the shudnt be there holding the front suspension together. ill be thinking when are they gonna fail.
the suspension was got to make the car steer with more feel as that has always been its problem from the get go.
it handles amazing. but i cant feel what its doin.
so the suspension was got to cure that. at the same time.... i would have to bodge it.
im not bodgeing it.
plus the two companys for the part dont seem interested at all for helping me.
so fuck it.
i can build something else.
derv power the front arms are poly bush'd

wow simon, your funny. didnt realise quoting from a fat sad lonley guy on the simpsons was amusing on the internet.
update for today
im fucked.
first off. if your doin a track car, dont use cheap aftermarlet disks.
theyll kill you.
spot the crack, whole disk was coverd in them
and also, dont expect lil h to be as quality as he used to be, he is being built on a budget, so everything from donor car is being used where possible.
and where not. basic parts will be fitted. then, if it drives good. ill decide what to do.
and, now for the update.
thought id smelt clutch when i got the donor car,,
new non stuffed clutch,
being mounted
and fitted

what pads were you using with the discs?
Were the cracks (can just see one) just extensions of the 'groove' out to the edge?
I've cracked a few discs before

the discs were on the tigra, was gonna swap them onto lil h, then spotted the crack, runs full length front and back, then there were tons of odd little ones.
pads were delpi lockheed things, std stuff i think, and discolourd too.
i have my red dot, greenstuff setup still which was fine for me. ill put that back on,

I thought this was getting stripped due to suspension not fitting? Running with the same suspension you had before but with a xe in it now?

ak, ill be needing a new casing or gearbox before i give it some serious death
plans are to see how it handles now some things have been changed
it was stripped due to reaching a point where it went and corner'd well. but had no feel. and i lost my job
so now its opposite to what it was.
its heavy'r. has no front arb.
and a bigger steering wheel
plus it was built on a budget of. . . the donor car. and what i had lying around.
bonnet may go car colour or black, will see what paint i have lying about
went for a cheeky wee spin.
he feels pretty vicious to be honest. maybee im used to slow cars now. with my td workhorse.
but heres a lil preview
