But that wouldn't cause the crank signal to keep dropping?

what sensors are you using all together?
if the crank sensor is allowing the engine to start and run then its likely that another sensor is at fault, I have seen a faulty TPS sensor causing similar problems.
do you have an oscilloscope to read the crank sensor signals?

sometimes it can, if the ecu sees a negative load it can cut spark and /or fuel for safety. I have seen this happen with a Gems ECU.
need to determine wether the signal itself is dropping or wether the ecu is causing the signal to cut. (hence my oscilloscope question)

all sensor are being used right now
all i keep doing is swapping looms over everytime
running all standard apart from a extra airtemp sensor, with is all working fine on the car atm
tps
crank
coolant temp
air temp
o2 sensor
the tps and injector are still on the same loom as i am still using the oe plug for the injection loom
i dont have a oscilloscope so cant check
the only thing thinknig about it now is, i worked out the timing of the crank signal, but when using a timing light i had to adjust it massively to get the correct timing, so picking up the wrong signal?
its all set up for a 60-2 gm trigger wheel

whoop whoop, procress
just bought my wideband o2 sensor with controller
will map at weekend, enough to get me running safety
then will dial cams in properly before do the final map

and have a few hours of fun

will do that next time i can be bothered with it
fitted the wide band o2 sensor, rewired all in
set up, programmed in, worked for a few minutes, no doesnt work no readings at all.
so couldn't even run the car do a base map, going down to be scrapped soon if carries on like this

personly i blame this innovate wide band controller crap
not my megasquirt
megasquirt would be running fine by now if the wideband controller was doing its job
might just take it and get it mapped then theres no need for it

Whats the MS got to do with a wideband lambda controller not working?
Warren-Have you checked simple things like fuses on the controllers live etc?
Checked the live/earth with a meter?

yes, have 12volts going to controller, have 5volts going to sensor
have good earth (connected straight to battery)
sensor has earth
heaters in o2 sensor not working as not getting hot, LED not working now (was at first)
no reading coming back from controller for megasquirt signal
am sending back to phil and his going to test it, yet another delay
plus im now runnnig on blue redtop injectors, runs shite will change them back during the week (again )
