Splitter Action today - hasn't come out too badly;
As it started with the scrap bumper it was with also;
Rubbed down;
Lightly primed;
After a few Primer coats;
Glacier White with added swears and shadow hijinks;
First coat of Lacquer after a couple of Glacier White;
Now letting it dry, and will be overnight, so hopefully I can fit it tomorrow...

Splitter finished and fitted;
Get home and remove bumper;
Remove OE Rubber Splitter and cut some sections from the bumper for the Irmscher Splitter vents;
Fit Splitter to Bumper and fit to car fully;
Splitter vents clear of anything behind them (hence portions of bumper removed as it was visible through them);
Now just waiting on the Wheels...

Unwrapped the car and moved it to the side of my place for some better overall pics today as it has been a while - oh, and got happy with the Holesaw again earlier...
They aren't photos for a Sale advert, the stickers are purely for gauging interest in the value...

Nom.
Offset issues?!
Overall - not in bright sunlight (car not rolled back/forth since jacking either)...
The centrecaps were a complete CUNT to fit. Fitted all the wheels, tried to fit the caps (solid chunks of Alloy) and they did not want to know - ended up having to take each wheel off in turn and spend about 15m per rim getting them in...
I'm 99% sure the rears will scrub. So very likely to be cutting some of the rear arches down later his week, off out tonight in it to see how bad it is and to start roughing the AD08s up...

It got 50 metres before I turned it round due to CONSTANT rubbing on the rear arch steelwork - i'll be doing some grinding on thursday then!

Cheers all!
Bit pissed off about them rubbing, could have got 60 miles onto the rubber tonight just by going out to meet up with my mates! More driving to be done at the last minute now then, provided I can stop them rubbing!

Been doing some 'adjustments' to one of the rear arches tonight...
- Managed to cut off the lip of the plastic arch trim - it was rubbing the tyre, and now clears
- Managed to beat out the steel lip to now sit flush/inside the new lip of the plastic trim - found the arch was a smidge rotted at the bottom though - something to address over the winter there.
- Found that it appears that the tyre has rubbed the top of the outboard side of the inside arch above the middle of the curve of the arch (maybe from the heavily loaded trip up to Billing though as it's only been driven in the dry since so won't have had any mud cover atall)
- Found the arch trims will need bonding on as the fixing screws/bolts will make contact with the tyre if I leave them in
Will do the same with the drivers side rear tomorrow, and then give it another try on the ground with the wheels refitted
Tomorrow is decision day though - if I'm not getting anywhere with it by by the end of the day, I'll go and get the Yokohamas swapped onto the white Vectra Twinspokes and decide what to do with the Speedlines from there...

How the thing has spent most of the week;
AD08s on the Vectra Wheels ;
Spot the Differences;
THINK I'm ready for tomorrow - covered 115 Miles on the tyres today without issue, so will add another 50 miles roughly by the time I get to Combe in the morning, should be enough to then give them a hammering.
Not washing it prior to Combe, prob do it there in the morning.

Even more of a difference when you look at how it was when I bought it for my Ex a year before I took it on...

Got my pics from TV Live through lastnight, so when I got onto an internet connection that wasn't my phone earlier, I got to dowloading them - just a selection;
I did buy all 81 Photos of mine in the end, not uploading all of them!
