It's called being a grown up which I thought was generally expected when you were 18?
You were in a situation where you could do college and full time work.
You could drive at this point I am assuming?
Whereas Luke could get a job full time, but where we live, it's hard to get work.
I could get a full time job, but my college is in another town, I can't drive to and fro.
Good on you though. Just don't think that the way you live (d) is the way it works out for everyone.

I'm going to side with the youngsters on this times are different now finding work is pretty hard. Its made harder by the fact people are only taking on people with experience. So its that vicious circle of you need experience to get experience.
Bad times atm

No I couldn't drive.
I'm not saying the way I did it is the way it works for eveyone but as we discovered yesterday Lukes comments that there are no jobs where you live is bullshit.
If I had planned to go to uni and hadn't got in I wouldn't sit on the internet and the 360 all day complaining how hard it is to do anything. I'd get off my ass and put myself in a position to do something about it

Didn't see his comments from yesterday. Feel free to fill me in.
There are jobs. But you need to "have your own car, and your own business phone"
or have previous experience "helping the elderly/disabled".

Yes it's a lot harder with work now as I know you know only too well.
However there are too many people pulling out that line out without ever having tried to do anything about it. Youngsters these days (fuck I'm sounding old) generally expect everything to be given to them and aren't prepared to put any effort in IMO

He stated there were no jobs available within 5 miles of Burnley that didn't require qualifications.
Within 30 seconds me and Mike had found 3

Fair enough. I wouldn't do that either.
I think the thing that wound people up was the fact you said there was nothing but appeared to have not even looked as people found options quickly enough.
Out of interest what was wrong with the other job I posted?

Can't remember, Neo posted an IT one, but i think it said they offered to train you first, which i don't want to do as the Uni course i will be doing, it wont be relevant.
