Wasn't Gerrard reported to go a similar thing when Chelsea were after him?

TBH the issue with Gerrard is that he wanted to sort his contract out straight after the Euro Cup final so he didnt have to have a summer of being in the papers, the length and money had all been verbally agreed more or less. Instead Parry decided to go on his summer holidays (you know, as the chief negotiator for player transfers and contracts should do when the transfer window opens) - and left Gerrard standing there high and dry.

In the case of Gerrard, I can't imagine he'd try and play the club as everyone knows he wouldn't leave.

A lot of papers going to be running the story tomorrow than we're not far from agreeing a deal to bring Chamakh here in the summer by signing a pre-contract agreement in the next few weeks.

The Mirror apparently saying we are willing to offer him a £12m signing on fee. I seriously doubt this considering we have no money

Liverpool:
Out: Rafa
In: Miracle
Requirements of job.
A miracle is a perceptible interruption of the laws of nature, such that can be attempted to be explained by divine intervention, and is sometimes associated with a miracle worker.

You spend as much as we do, so you should be expected to.
Anyway, Rodriguez signed yesterday, on a free, 3.5yr deal

No where near that, but then Im just a fan, so wouldnt really know to much about that as any fans would.
I dont mind, if we are in debt as the new stadium is coming anyway.

Of course you would know, they have to submit any info on loans secured on the club in the accounts submitted to companies house. They arent some secret organisation that you seem to think all clubs are, the information is readily available, and according to Forbes 2009, you were worth just around £300m and had a debt to value ration of 29% - which is approx £90m.
And the new stadium will add even more debt to that amount.

Welcome bit of news, might lift the players a bit (something needs to).
