I love this corsa it's almost too clean for a track car ;-) keep up the good work. I did laugh at the "keep the tracking figures quiet" bit like its top secret :-) I'm happy to share my settings if anyone wants to know. Best of luck in the time attack mate

Right then.
Our weekend began as we left to travel to brands at 10.15am on Sat, got 10 mins up the road and the trailer tire blew out i was hoping this wasnt a sign to how the rest of the weekend was going to be Managed to get that sorted after about 2 hours of pissing about and got on our way.
When we arrived at brands it was pissing it down as we were un loading the car etc, got all signed in, though and got the car scrutineered.
So then i went out for the 15mins testing session with the track still wet but dry lines appearing, this was my first ever time on brands and all the class's were out on track together, which made it lets say fun lol. I did a very nice spin all the way down paddock hill bend which was a bit scary to be fair and another bit of a tail out moment later that session but all in all i was happy with how the car felt and it got my a few laps to go sleep on. (vid to follow)
Sunday then we woke up to it pissing down again, not what we wanted after not really having any decent tires for wet weather. Got the car prepped, fitted the transponder (lap timer) and got briefed.
Session 1 Club class warm up:
track had dried up a fair bit and there was no rain. went out on my R888's and the car felt good, heres the results of people in my class from this 1. (vid to follow)
Stephen FITZPATRICK BMW M3 1.04.265
Neil HOLDEN Honda Type R Mugen 1.06.328
James PROCTER Honda Civic Type R FD2 1.07.003
Neil BAMFORD (OHW) Vauxhall Corsa 1.07.597
Jonathan MORRIS Ford Focus ST 1.12.088
Session 2 Club class practice:
This was not a good session for me, rain was pooring down lots of standing water on the track so at the last min i decided to try my luck and banged on my Prada spec 2's. Went out and the car was all over the place even at a slow pace the car just wasnt gripping pulled in after about 3-4 laps and after being sat in the pits for a while i decided to not go back out that time. Hence shocking times for this session. (Vid to follow)
Stephen FITZPATRICK BMW M3 1.05.678
Neil HOLDEN Honda Type R Mugen 1.08.933
James PROCTER Honda Civic Type R FD2 1.09.744
Jonathan MORRIS Ford Focus ST 1:11.015
Neil BAMFORD (OHW) Vauxhall Corsa 1:20.503
Session 3 Club class qualifying:
This was a much better session for me, track had fully dried out, 888's were back on and i had to pull something out of the bag to qualify (which we all ended up doing) Really enjoyed this session as it gave me a chance to stretch the corsas legs and show people what it could do although we were all bought into the pits for a while why they cleaned up an oil leak a focus rs kindly spread around the whole track. Un fortunatly theres no vids from here on as the go pro batt died on me which im gutted about Times for this 1, getting close.
Stephen FITZPATRICK BMW M3 55.507
Neil HOLDEN Honda Type R Mugen 58.878
Neil BAMFORD (OHW) Vauxhall Corsa 59.364
James PROCTER Honda Civic Type R FD2 59.935
Jonathan MORRIS Ford Focus ST 1.01.862
Final session, Club class final:
Still on the 888's for this 1 a big black cloud was drawing over the track as our session was about to start, i knew i hadnt got long to get a hot lap in at the start off the session before the rain came. Luckily i pulled it together and second lap out managed to do a decent safe lap just as the rain started, stayed out on track for another 5 laps before i finally decided to much rain had fallen to do any quicker. Again no vid for this im affraid
heres the results
Stephen FITZPATRICK BMW M3 58.405
Neil BAMFORD (OHW) Vauxhall Corsa 1.01.663
N Neil HOLDEN Honda Type R Mugen 1.01.687
Jonathan MORRIS Ford Focus ST 1.04.920
James PROCTER Honda Civic Type R FD2 1.09.030
Which ment yes i had finshed 2nd in class on the day by a tenth of a second, how close do you like that lol. Was very happy with that result for my first Time attack event and first weekend at Brands. As you can see the M3 was well ahead of the pace all day being a really well set up car.
Turned out to be a cracking day, leant a few things if i decide to do another and also need to get myslef some decent wets beacuse of the great britsh weather lol.
The vids ive got i will edit shorter and add them soon, but here a few pics from my mate and official photographers.
Me and the old boy
And me being interviewed for the media coverage lol.
