FFS, just tried out the wireless sync, and iTunes has put ALL of my apps, and songs back onto the phone.

Even the ones i removed.

Caused my phone to crash, and now i have to go through it removing all the shit i don't want !

i have turned off wifi sync as everytime i opened itunes it would then sync to my ipad and iphone and just hang for about 3 minutes, pointless if i want to listen to music straight away!

From what ive seen of the iCloud stuff i think its handy but i will b manually switching it on/off. Cool feature though

After updating my Iphone 4 to IOS5 i cant get any signal or send any texts but can still surf web and what not. Anyone have the same problem or know how to sort it?

Just updated my phone to iOS5 and Jailbroke.

Seem alright so far, sync'd my contacts with gmail just in case after everybody was moaning on FB they had lost everything after updating.

Only thing thats not gone well is that my TomTom app won't sync back

And lost all my messages and notes, could have sworn they all got backed up.

Yep, I was holding out for the untethered but then realised I couldnt remember the last time my phone went off so just went for it.

When the untethered gets release you'll be able to just run redsnow straight over the top so wont be a big PITA.

Is the Tethered as simple to do then? My phone also ever gets turned off but having no Jailbreak is actually getting to me now I didn't realise how much I used it for shortcuts etc

As Ashleh says, really straight forward, just update to iOS5 as normal through iTunes (if you don't need to preserve your baseband for unlock) then open redsnow and click Jailbreak. If your phone goes off, plug it in, launch redsnow and hit 'Boot Tethered'.

when youve jailbroken add these repositorys some good stuff in them

You know a lot of people with some dodgy tans Ash.

I'd like an icon on my first screen on the phone to direct dial contacts, just like you have but not on the notification centre.

I'm sure there's an (jb) app for that.

Put a load more widgets on just to try it and the slide down tab started going really slow so limited it to just the ones I'll use.

Gutted some of the apps are t working yet either like barrell, bitesms and mywi.
