Mechanic thinks it a broken valve or sticky lifter? There wasnt anything wrong in the cylinders and the spark plugs looked perfectly fine.

Nope, I'm hoping not too long. Was fun getting it on the back of my mates LDV car loader thing. Tore my splitter and scraped the underneath. Then I got it stuck on the truck haha it got wedged on the diamond plate.

Just hope it won't be too expensive. Thrown loads of money at it in the past 18 month

My 12v done the same thing turned out to be the egr valve stuck open was running on two and misfiring like mad check it out, i almost pulled my engine out I got that sick

It was never really full with that engine

Glad you're getting sorted! You getting work done on the head whilst it's there like skimming or is it just out to see if damaged valves etc?

its having the head rebuilt, new cams skim etc, its gone to an engineeing place.
valves werent damaged luckily. cam snapped just after the bracket so only about 1inch was separated. stayed together luckily

haha it certainly has always been an empty engine bay

Finally got my car back! Felt so strange to drive it!

Took a reduculous wad of cash

Thought my headunit had died when I got it back, checked all the fuses and they all looked fine. Turned out one had actually broke :s

By then I had already bought a new headunit to use to trouble shoot. But I wanted a new one anyway so I kept it.

Old one.
