Was going to U2U you Dan but i'll post these here as they could be to some use for others
this is what ive followed to wire up my LET, which is same/similar for most XE's
I've just found this which saves me writing it up myself, 1.2 16v to XE conversion
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=611430
Basically the fuel pump relay under the glove box needs a wire to 'bridge' the connection you could do this with the scotch locks.
and the ignition live is a thin black wire on the corsa loom, which just needs extending with new wire using your crimps to the the single black wire on the xe loom in the engine bay, this is found just after the injector rail

You'd be fine following the wiring tutorials mate, I did mine then got my step dad to check it over afterwards. Atleast it would get you started even if you didn't finish it

Dan no harm in trying, if you follow the above you'd be alright. When it come to cranking it over make sure you take the fuel relay out on the xe loom. This will help oil pump through all the oil ways. Once your happy with that and oil is getting to the top end plug fuel relay back in and give it another go and will fire up
Will either run if everything's connected or not fire if you've missed something

Most specialists recomend crimps for engines (hence why std looms are always crimped), as the vibration can snap the wire as it comes out the soldered joint.. supposedly. Ive soldered countless wires on engine looms over the years and never had an issue. So either method really. (i recomend a ratchet crimper though)
Went and studied the wiring on mine this afternooon, and its actually very easy, i now have all the loom connected, and ecu feeds in the footwell, ready to connect when im off again next week. (i would say it was easier than the wiring on my nova sri, yet theres a big fear of the sxi loom on here)

Update : 10.04.2012
Right a big update tonight. As you all know Ash has been quite busy recently doing a favour for his mate Kyle with the banger cars welding etc. But tonight he was free so you know what that meant?
Went upto his first to collect some tools to get cv joint out and get airgun to tighten my top suspension bolts up for tomoz and then got back to mine and cracked straight on with the wiring.
Here's some pictures. Shafts should be here tomoz too, thanks again Ian,cake will be bought for you at MK meet. Will get my cvs back on and get them in and hopefully the problem with the passenger side sticking out will be gone.
Ash starting the wiring :
Connected the wire for the ignition live
And then how the loom was left, will be tidying all this up,don't worry OCD
Connecting battery
And then filled her up coolant
Oil,halfords oil for now then gonna get some vauxhall when it's ran in abit
More coolant as it was drinking it
First off checked all the lights etc
And here's the first video of it TRYING to start,Ash wasn't sure if he had to wire up the Fuel relay, for some reason he said it might have not needed it but i din't know what he meant. He didn't have time to get it wired anyways plus he needs to have a look in manual to refresh his mind. So here's the vid. We got a spark of the coil lead onto earth so we have a spark so were half way there, just need fuel into the engine.
Really happy atm, really happy as i know it's not far off.
Here's the CV i removed very easily with Ash's tools
And how we left it for tonight,be back tomoz afternoon
