never realised or appreciated it until I took up biking! Scotland is only 5 mins away so not even that far to go to anywhere good. Pretty much right in the middle of everywhere that is worth riding!

True.

But with views and scenery like they have up north and in wales it doesn't compare. Plus with the height advantage brings much longer decents. Only downside is you have to go up hill for longer and that's no fun.

Been offered a carrera tgf road bike from a bloke at graft - its brand new - did like ten miles for £170

Worth it?

Havent been out on my trek 6500 for a couple months and want to get back into it big time.

gets you fit though. Faster you can get up the hills the quicker you get to enjoy the good bits back down!

Mate sent me this video of where we are hopefully going on the weekend. Not wanting to suggest southern stuff is weak in comparison, but southern stuff is weak in comparison. Views, tech descents etc. looks awesome.

Looks similar to some of the Scottish stuff we rode. Although I wish it was as 'user friendly' for as long as that. Still takes a lot of skill to ride but all looks rideable. Very cool.

Is that Scotland or Lakes?

They are £370 on sale from £600 from halfrauds at the min. Bit of a bargain imo. Has an uprated crank too

11kg so it is in terms of a road bike, but its just for generally getting fitter so that cant hurt.

Not bad bikes I have one as a winter hack. Ride fine but are heavy. Will get you fitter quicker though and they are indestructible
