Ofcourse it's fake, it tells you so in the link 'slender man' was made up/invented however you want to say it on the SA forums during a thread about making creepy pictures, from then on it became a weird internet myth that this thing exists, it's actually quite creepy when you read in to it and some of the photoshops of it are quite disturbing.

There's a picture of 'slender man' in some woods, looks like a video still actually, has a blair witch feel to it and there's a young guy stood in the middle of a path (it's snowing) and there's a pool of blood on the floor, in the background you can see slenderman lurking in the trees watching. It's really creepy, I'll have to try and find it.
