In other news. Went up whinlatter today to have a pop on the new bits of trail. Did the north loop and new downhill bit is tremendous tbh. Very flowing and fast. Did the south loop and nipped back up to do the final decent on the north again. Got cocky, and got it very wrong. Nearly got away with, right up to the bit I bounced offa post at great speed. It hurt.....alot! Never been so glad to have knee pads and long sleeved jacket on coz I slid for soooo long after I stopped tumbling.... Few gouges out of me arm. But meh.
Then we did the blue with the new bits... Fast and flowing...

the new bits on the blue were soaked and muddy on saturday can see what they are trying to do and i think it will be really good once it has settled in.
north red is a massive improvement, can't wait to try it in the dry and with no wind.
fall sounds bad, could've been worse on the plus side.....noticed they have cut that branch on the north shore at the end of the blue as well lol.
you are my biking hero jim.

I'm no hero mate. I hit a post ffs you know that rock just before the fire road? I got epic air (in my head it was epic) but alas they seemed to have "altered" the landing. Got mucho tank slapper on then hit the warning post for the fire road like a fucking right twat.
Much lolz for everyone though....

Can anyone recommend the best place to look for second hand bikes? Looking for something that's good for trail riding.

Looking forward to getting home and getting some miles in on the mountain bike.
This coming year me and a few mates are going to get out of the local area hopefully and ride some places around Scotland.

Had a nice Boxing Day ride up at mabie forest with a couple of mates. Misty indeed. I've put my back out so thought it best to stick to a trail centre rather than risk somewhere in the lakes I don't know. Seemed to manage ok though.

Just been for a quick ride. Was hard going after what can only be described as a December of overindulgence lol. Just making a movie now of the best descents.
