thing is, although all the cool people say scrabbling for grip wah wah wah. it still actually accelerates, its not like it sits on the spot spinning and doesnt move.

jr has shown me that corners are not all they are cracked up to be with his caught on camera fail. so i am still happy with what my car does.

after speaking to a good friend of mine that used to rally corsas, i was informed that i should do something that will be classes as a scene mod to improve the rear end a bit. so today i found the bits and got on with it.

to counter act the scene mod you may notice an anti scene mod happening also however.

some stuff

red power drums for the win

decided to try the rear spacers on. was going to fit some wheel studs like i have on the front then noticed my impact driver is broken and i cant find any loctite either. great. so went back to normal wheel bolts for now.

before scene-spacer

after scene spacer. not a massive difference.

thing i forgot to do was to raise the rear of the car up about 30mil. it sits too level which under acceleration causes the front to lift up more. i will do that tomorrow though and try and borrow an impace driver to fit the wheel studs as well.

once again i must mention, red power drums ftw.

best mod to date!! .. also if your drums get as hot as mine do on a thrash it will burn a nice ring of the paint off

it would be nice if they do. i keep threatening to go to rear discs but i just dont see the point. all the weight is up the front would just have to bias the hell out of them. the amount of b road slagging it gets the drums have always been enough.

the new direction is all aimed at making it actually operate better on the road. i prefer that direction than show and camber.

Looks good Nic, you should get it on a track now instead of just drawing 11's on the road.
