Really, not disputing it but find that quite surprising. i would have thought the VX220 with its superior handling and huge weight advantage would make it difficult for the astra to get past. Im guessing you were getting them on a long straight?

The VX220 2.2 16v is only 147bhp, on the straights once rolling I should imagine the VXR should be able to gain ground quite easily.

whats a top mounted front mounted inter-cooler???

Similar to a front mounted - front mounted intercooler

Pair of dicks!
Oh poor me, I tried to explain what I meant by trying to explain it as a top mounted or a front mounted intercooler as in they are both technically front mounted (as they are at the front of the car) but one if mounted on the top and one is mounted in the bumper (as in the front bumper).

But you're just being fucking pedantic and knew exactly what I meant and how I was trying to convey that message.

Grow the fuck up.

And yes, I'm in a bad mood

No such thing as a wrong desicsion....

Its going to be HIS/RACH's car, not your lots! The astra is cheaper than the scoob, it may be a better drivers car, but the vxr i assume from the reviews will still be a hoot to own/drive....

So i say let him be

No one, but having to replace a poxy heater matrix on a Corsa GSi in the freezing cold and getting my hands/arms ripped to shreads in the process kind of cheesed me off, and today I've woken up with a sore back, feeling like crap and ingrain muck on my hands and it's the bloody works xmas meal tonight so it's bleach + scrubbing brush for me later!
Happy days!

Unrealiable from what I've read today, and getting parts is a nightmare.

That idea lived for .02 seconds.
