Got some polycarbs to go in next weekend and fully intend on gutting my doors in the same way that you have. Was going to throw afew screws through the window and into the frame to secure it, but if there's an easy way, then roll on
I'll get some pics for you.

We were rallying at the weekend at Smeatharpe, went quite well in the morning with it being damp. We were lying 17th Overall and leading the class after 2 stages. But then it started getting drier and we started dropping down the order. But still, we managed to bring home 22nd overall and 2nd in Class.
Only a bit of damage, just cut a 90 left too tight, clipped a tractor tyre on the inside and it put us into a barbed wire fence!! Oops. So now I have a little bit if work to do before the next event which is the Tour of Cornwall on the 5th April.
How the damage was:
And after I rubbed it down tonight:

PS. Now after a GSi front bumper if anyone knows of one??

8.3.08
Did some work on the car this afternoon as i finished work early. First off, thought I better clean it:
She cleans up well
The only problem, it reveals all the scratches and bumps! Managed to hit every corner of the car at Smeatharpe Oops, we were trying!!!
Then started to strip it down:
It'll polish out!!!!
Then back to how it looked a few months ago:
Then put the first layer of mesh and fibreglass to bridge the hole so I can fill it on Monday then paint it:
And all of this, for a lovely little trophy!
More updates Monday probably.

Well done Ben! Great result, especially considering how little time you've had testing!
Get an Irmscher Airdam on it

Strut Brace was an eBay special! We tested loads of different suspension settings with the ARB on and off and the car handled alot better with the front ARB on! And so far, had no understeer problems, even in the wet!

19.3.2008:
Everything is now resprayed, front wing and arch is refitted, and the bumper is just waiting to be fitted after the sealer goes off that is holding the mesh on.
Meanwhile, started taking more stuff off of the Nova, as I am now contemplating a rebuild!!
And today, my new Samco Hoses arrived to go from the top of the engine to the top of the radiator as my current hose has an indent, which could end up as a hole!
Hopefully should get it fitted tomorrow, so I'll put some more pics up.

Gettin some mudgaurd material to use on the steering arm Holes seems a good job!
I like the idea of usein it on the fuel hose holes as well never thought of that I was gonna pay big buck fer them awl fittings thanks for the inspiration

Well now!!! I'm planning a rebuild! Nothing major, just a simple, quick Nova road car. Just wanting to put a C20XE in, no dashboard, just a simple dash panel and a couple of seats. Trying to make it very lightweight though!! Probably be that VW Dark metallic grey with black wheels. I miss have something fun to drive on the road so thought I'd build this again! Plus, I can then do the Nurburgring again as I don't want to drive the Corsa over there, and I don't really want to tow the Corsa there either!
So just started working on it yesterday evening:
I shall carry on with removing metal on Monday!!

Hi guys,
Seems like ages since I've been on here! Anyway, we were out competing in my Corsa yesterday at the TSH Stages at Portreath in Cornwall. Good day all round, managed to come home with 13th Overall and 1st in class by nearly 2 mintues!!! Happy with that after only the 3rd event in the car.
Now have to rebuild the front of the Corsa (again, but on a bigger scale this time!!) after rearranging all the barriers going across the flying finish on stage 6, Oops!!
I'll get some pics of the damage up later this afternoon!
