Spent a whole fiver today
GSF gear linkage bush kit, took about an hour to fit 6 bushes and 4 soft rubber pads, replacing the worn ones.
Still a bit sloppy, but it's better.
I reckon I could do it in about 15 minutes if I did it again
Tomorrow I collect my brand new rear lights, which will look loads better than the ones I currently have.

New rear lights are on.
Here's the 3 sets I now have, the original ones from the car are in the middle, a pair I bought from ebay at the top and the new ones at the bottom
Ones off the car next to the new ones (top)
Next to eachother, to show why I've done it
Before
After
Doesn't really show up in the photos when they're uploaded, but in the flesh there's a massive improvement. They're 'clearer' plastic if that makes sense, less cloudy, and the black line actually goes all the way across.
Not bad for the money anyway.
They seem to seal better than the original ones too, so it's good in 2 ways.

Yep, they're really good, the only thing is they are a bit tight where the bulb holder goes in, but that's no big deal, just means they can't rattle
Had to put some oil in it today as the oil light/buzzer came on going round a roundabout.

I don't think mine has, I just think there was none in it when I got it, didn't really check things like that
I did consider ignoring it so I needed a new engine
I couldn't handle the buzzer though, had to stop and buy some oil as it was pissing me off too much

Not loud, just high pitched and really annoying like a squeak more than a buzz.
I couldn't work out WTF it was at first, thought I'd run over a cat or something

Yeah, but it did it as there was hardly any oil in it, not because of the oil pump or anything I don't think. It's been fine today.
anyway, if it is oil pressure and it seizes, I'll 16v it earlier.

Rear numberplate fell off today
Totally my fault for unsticking it the other day and expecting the old sticky pads to keep it in place now
That just means plain plates will have to come sooner and I'll have to roll around with mine stuck in my back window with blu tac for a few days

Haven't seen it Dan, no, I'll have a look though if I see Redline in the shops
I'm bidding on some orange front indicator lenses at the moment
Then I need more girth wheel wise. 7.5" just isn't doing it for me.
