The amazing FORD gearbox mount snapped going into second gear on the way to the petrol station, the equal length shaft popped out of it's CV joint, spun round, hit the alloy bit of the bottom of the engine, punched a hole in it, all the oil came out and the exhaust rubbers all snapped.

So we rolled it back the 50 yards to the workshop and had a jolly good chuckle when we saw what had happened.

Shame really, was going to Santa Pod tomorrow, we've got bit upstairs to build it back up, but I'm not sure I can be bothered just to risk fucking it on the line at SP.

So children, don't buy grippy tyres and use launch control. (or let Scot go to the petrol station after telling him to try the launch control out )

Beat an M3 in it this morning though, he wasn't happy, and this isn't the end.

If the engine is fucked, it'll get a Duratec with a charger on it.

Oh, and I have no idea whatsoever as to how the shaft put the hole in the block, there's still 4 rods and 4 pistons in it. Odd.

Scot literally went for second and the gearlever wasn't there, it was on the floor as the rear gearbox mount snapped when it came on boost in first.

We know the weak point now it's all R&D at the end of the day.
