Just annoying, it's all flaky so will take ages to get all the loose crap off grrrr
I do think that all this effort could be put into a LET, but to buy the XE that then needed rebuilding was £150.
The LET would be £1200 + rebuilding. Could not afford it.
Also I'm saving my turbo days for jap crap

Update
After spending a few days worrying about the fact the manifold supplied with my engine is:
1. Flat on the bottom from hitting something
2. Standard bore size and the rest of my system is 2.5"...restrictive
3. Has been cut off in a really stupid place making it poke out at a funny angle
4. It has been cut off before where the lambda boss would be so had no way of mounting this.
I came across 'alexhogben' selling a big bore manifold that would eliminate all of my above worries. :
Should arrive with me soon

Looking good son! This engine will complete the car.
Will be a very good runner with all the attention to detail you have put into the engine.
Good work.
I want to have a drive with c20xe powaah!

Update
Thought I'd cleaned all of the major parts but realised I'd forgotten about the sump.
It cleaned up amazingly well on the outside, pics don't show how shiny it is!

Indeed, Vauxhalls go through oil like peugeots go through gearboxes
And wheel bearings
and driveshafts
and back axles
and drop links
Ill stop there

Wo wo wo, what's this the XSi fanboy midnight shift?
I've got a victor reinz bottom end gasket set so should be able to stem the flow of oil!
Just can't decide whether to to run the cork gaskets dry, with hylomar on them, or with silicone?
