What happened to the standard seats in this? Did they get sold on or scrapped?

Can someone drill some holes in the bumper? I don't think it looks ghetto enough.

I think the panels need some DIY painting tbh, I decided the car looks pretty shit with all the panels matching anyway while we were driving home

Some nice holes in the interior would look neat like the white mk3 golf Colin had at Combe inside the rear 1/4 panels.

I think a matt black roller job should be on the cards if you get some time free before Germany.

MEANWHILE, ON THE INTERNET

The Astra went to Germany and back, just. I had left Essex 8 days ago with a gearbox noise hoping for the best (with spares) and it did 16 laps without an issue, then the gearbox decided it didn't want to work anymore. Still havent got a concrete answer as to what happened but it chewed the end of a final drive and the bearings on the diff were wanked.

After spending half a day sourcing the bearings from an Opel garage and getting them fitted (not to mention Lee also removed them using a angle grinder we borrowed off a garage while they looked the other way), and swaping out the cassette, the gearbox worked again and completed another 5 wet laps of the nurburgring and got us home! It was weeping oil out on the way home so we filled it up a couple of times which masked a horrible noise

All the mods done since the last trip, cage, seats, steering, geo, brakes, plastic windows and tyres really paid off and the car felt so much more stable.

Sadly due to time and money, it will not be appearing at PVS but plans are already being put into place to get it ready for Trax. Its getting a new set if bushes all round, new springs on the rear as it was bottoming out on the carousel, top mounts. Lee wants to have a stab at the bodywork as there are some bent panels behind the bumper and wing from the Mallory slap. I miss judged a corner at the Ring which meant half the car got some air/grass time so will be worth having a butchers underneath while we're at it. Shes not looking pretty at the moment and could do with some TLC.

Either way, shes a babe, I personally did 17 laps and enjoyed every single one. It does need more power but with power comes great responsibilities, so who knows if that will ever be touched.

fucking hope not - it needs taking apart and inspecting I think, I'm hoping the new bearings that were fitted in Germany lasted their way back to the farm.
