I just cant seem to get the ignition live right. I've done all of it right except the one wire and i ran out of daylight tonight so i'll carry on with it tomorrow and hopefully sort it out! It turns over but no spark so it'll be something simple. Then i'm somehow missing the plug for the ICV So i've got to find that aswel

Well i thought i best update the thread seeing as its been a while.
With the help of Boz, Tom and his mate and a new loom from Tom the wiring got sorted
The CV wouldnt come out of the box so i took the inspection plate off and flicked it out easily.
It now runs and drives near enough perfect Theres just a couple of little bits and bobs still left to do to make it how i want it.
Jobs left to do are:
Move gear selector slightly as i cant get 2nd.
Sort out speedo cable as it doesnt seem to be fitted into the speedo right as i can hear it spinning but theres no reading.
Get another throttle cable as mine sticks
Get another ecotec pipe as mine split
Make some proper bonnet raisers as i fashioned some quickly and they are crap Reason for the spacers are the bonnet wont shut right with the ecotec pipe on.
Then its just a case of tidying it all up and painting it all
Also retrimmed my A,B and C pillars and roof lining again in black
Ive finally fallen in love with it again!!

For some reason it sits on the pipe and wont close without seriously squashing the pipe. To be honest i think the pipes shrunk in diameter as it doesnt fit all the way over the adapter and was an arse to fit.

Amazing! It lasted 2 days!
Crank sensor wire melted to the exhaust manifold and it cut out.
And now:

Nope. Still no luck either! Think it might be the crank sensor being the wrong one or something else. Pretty sure its the crank sensor again or something related to that

Right i got the head off and it's not that bad news really.
Its bent 8 valves, 4 inlet 4 exhaust. All on cylinders 1 and 3. It ruined the stem seals as well so ive changed all 16. Relapped the 8 good valves and im just waiting on my head bolts and valves hopefully tomorrow and then i can get it done and fixed for sunday!
Pics are being uploaded now.

Ah how much could you get me valves for Philip? I have sourced some but if you can get them here Tuesday that would be great! I think i was lucky with the guides. I did check them and they seemed ok but i was debating changing all of them anyway but i dont know.

Not much progress as im still waiting for valves but they should be here today
Took the head off to have new guides fitted and to have it chemically cleaned. It came back spotless
Ive painted a few bits and bobs just so it looks a bit fresher and cleaner. Just need to repaint the bay now so its white again
Still left to do is:
re lap valves
re fit springs and collets
re fit cams
re fit cam caps
fit head gasket
re fit head
fit head bolts
plumb and wire it all back in
fit cambelt kit and time up
re fit exhaust
re fit inlet manifold
