Well according to the Mirror (before yesterdays game) we were paying a £12m signing on fee, then £60k over 5yrs, so £25m ish.

Not aimed at Liverpool solely but fuck me the game of football is going down the shitter. A signing on fee of 12 million quid for a 26 year old striker with a strike rate of 1 in 4 in a far poorer league than the EPL?

TBF, its originating from The Mirror, so therefore its not true. Add to that we have fuck all money (again the Mirror said this themselves so where did we suddenly get the £12m from?).

The whole reason we are going for him is because its free, if we have to pay a £12m signing on fee (something Rafa would be dead set against anyway) then he isnt in our price bracket.

Looks like david james to stoke is off, speculation that it's to do with wages but I can't help thinking he didn't pass his medical.

Strange move that was. I'd rather Tommy Sorrenson tbh. Pompey must be desperate to get him off their books to save WONGA.

They said on SSN that if James plays X amount of games this season he's got a clause that Pompey HAVE to extend his contract, which they can't afford, so they're trying to ditch him, or he just won't play.

So yes, you are correct Nath

We did that to a player once. One more game and we'd have had to pay £X amount to his former club. So we froze him out, and sold him

It's pretty obvious Pompey are in trouble so they're gonna get rid of everyone who's on a decent wage.
