think i have finally found where the petrol smell is coming from...



it looks a bit moist and absoloutley stinks what do i need to fix this?? is it just a rubber seal? cheers.

There's just a rubber seal inside, swap that and you should be good

Knock the outside ring round and it pops off

where does the rubber seal go? mine was just chilling inside the tank so fucking fiddly

goes round the lip of the lid mate, if it was in the tank then just refit it to the lid and away you go

is it ok to take the 2 hoses off on the lid then put them back on after or will petrol go everywhere? if i can how do i undo the clips? just a pair of pliers do?

yeah can undo them wont be too much petrol just any excess in the pipes.

find some small jubilee clips and fit them when you put them back on so you can refit the pipes in the future easily

think i have too put a tiny bit of fairy liquid around the rubber slipped into place and cant smell petrol anymore fingers crossed it stays that way

yeh in total it all cost me £65 including braided lines pads discs and calipers came up from a mate so had to have them

braided brake lines came today so once ive got a new rubber seal for one of my calipers i will set to painting and fitting them
