Chuffed about this.

He will hopefull pass on alot to our strikers...especially Walcott.

I think its a great idea, same as Becks to us. Gotta help the youngsters having someone that good with their experience and such. I remember when we signed Davids, he used to stay behind and train with the youngsters.

& Palace. I'm just glad he didn't go to the Clowns Been sitting on Bournemouth Echo live blog for the past 2 days waiting for news

Going too stick £5 on Freedman getting the job full time now. Massive respect to EH for staying though, only played two matches for another team in his whole career. Massive disrespect to EH for wasting so much time of both Palace & Charltons in the most important month of the season

Sigh maybe not, Freedmans odds have just gone from 7/2 too 10/11. No point now

He'll take over with Sir Steve Coppell as director of football & Dean Austin/Steve Kember as #2

Wenger is "looking" for a new CB after its now all but confirmed that Vermaelen will be out for the season. Squillachi out for 2 weeks also

Cant see much happening here as when fit, he has Koscielny as well as Djourou (now has to be considered first chocie as hes done exceptionally well) and Vermaelen wioth Squiollachi and kids as backup. Also has Song who can play (not very well) at CB.

I suspect a loan or he'll just stick SOng there

I may have misread that, but are you saying Koscielny is better than Vermaelen? One is a good defender, the other is horse shit, Vermaelen is not horse shit.

No. I was meanign Djourou has to be considered first chocie alogn with Vermalen. Give Kos a few years and I think he'll do well. Needs to adapt a fair bit though I'd say. Squillachi has been hit by the #18 shirt curse sadly

Djourou has stepped up in a big way. Our best fit defender by a mile now. Would like him and Verm to be our first choice. I've a feeling Verm may be our Owen Hargreaves tho!

Koscienly has potential. He's quick and a good tackler. But his awareness and positioning is suspect to say the least.

Squillachi is past it.

I'd like to see either Cahill or Mertsacker come in.

But I think it will be Billy Umbongo from the French 2nd division.

Looks like Bridge is going to West Ham finally, I like that, think he's a decent player, and can't be worse than most of our defence.

Paying his whole £70k wages though apparently

FACT [ /'Skysportsunderstands']

Also rumours that us and Manure are looking at that Chamberlain lad from SHFC. Can't say i've seen much of him but many SHFC fans regard him as a better prospect than Walcott was at his age.

Picked up by Skysports but both Fergie and Comolli were both definitely there for the match against Oldham last night.

I saw it posted in a completely random fact Russ.

He can't be any worse than what we've got! Whether it's crossing or defending, and in fairness, he's probably not played many minutes to mis-place crosses anyway
