Well got a LUK clutch yesterday off a mate and will use that for the time being. Till either I whack the boost up and the clutch slips, or the f20 goes bang. Then will be replaced with an f28.

See the difference in clutch splines, no wonder it wasn't working

Old wrong f28 type clutch

And new correct spline clutch

See it actually sits perfect on the spline of the box, and when spun there's no nasty noises

So hopefully be the end of today I will have a working c20let corsa

Think that writing on the clutch in German or whatever it is means gearbox side

Well car was back together and running but for some reason wouldn't idle below 3k revs. EML is on and reads the code 22 for TPS which I have replaced. I also plugged it into a spare tps and moved the trigger on the switch and that didn't alter the throttle position at all so I think I have a problem with the loom somewhere...

When I squeeze the outlet on the tophat that goes to the ICV the revs drop, what does that mean? Is it normal or mean there's an air leak?

Glad you've sorted the initial problem Fazza!

Wish I could help you with the new ones hopefully you get it sorted!

Did it have EML before you took the gearbox apart?

Right I got pissed off and have whipped out the loom, I have stripped it back bare and there looks to be a cut wire and it according to the pin layout is for:

Ter. 12     Voltage supply, Hall sensor P 47/Ter. 3; throttle valve potentiometer P 34/Ter. 1

It leads back to terminal 12, that would cause the mad idle and lack of TPS working?

Bought some loom wrap earlier so have made use of that whilst the loom was out.

I found another cut wire that looks to be for the CTS also. So combined I think they would contribute to the high idle. Atleast I hope thats what it is

Loom is all wrapped and back on the engine, just needs connecting back in the drivers footwell

Finally car is all sorted and runs lovely. TPS wiring I replaced has cleared the fault and I sorted the idle of 3k by cleaning the ICV. It was siezed solid in place.... Im going to replace it as it was proper goosed but its working for now

Will get engine bay pics tomorrow as im not 100% happy with it yet as want to tidy a few bits and replace the rocker cover with a different colour one

Few pics of how it stands now, gave it a quick wash but will be polished tomorrow as its starting to get dark
