Fair play, I didn't think this project would last tbh, I thought it would get a few little mods and you would get bored and sell it Obviously going the whole hog though

I know right!? Wasn't planning on getting this all so soon

It's a little different to doing the XE although in theory shouldn't be too bad (famous last words) as atleast it came in the car originally

Try not too I've got the K26/6 coming on this engine although the 951 had the K26/8, difference being mine was 220 standard and 951 being 250 standard.

This one won't be going in as a standard engine though

Simple really, when I first got this I was 20 and couldn't get insured on a turbo, now that I've turned 21 prices have come down loads for me. I like this car and it's a good shell. In all honesty it sounds a bit camp but I don't think I would want to mod the shit out a real turbo. I'd rather make my own from a base. Also buying a good turbo with a decent shell is also quite hard to come by that isn't a lot more than I've spent so far.

*****UPDATE*****

Well as some of you may know I went to the Nurburgring last week. We left Saturday and came back the early hours of yesterday.

The car was literally fantastic. It drove there and back and got a good pounding whilst there with no issues!

On the way we stopped off at Spa to see the GP Track and then carried on to Germany on the Sunday. We then spent the week roaming around parts of the ring, karting and generally site seeing.

Whilst at subway and karting we bumped in to OJC (Ollie) off here which was funny!

Before we left a Mate and I had decided we'd sticker some helmets up for a laugh and whack some names on the car.

Right enough talking here's a few photos of the car and some bits. (I can't be arsed to post up how many thousands of photos I have so only put a few in)

Overall anyone who likes cars even a tiny bit has to go. I absolutely loved it and really got to know my car and how I want it. We'll be back there again next year for sure!

Exactly what Steve said Sean, there were so many race prepped cars flying round on the public sessions with cages etc.

i take it you werent on the autobahn very much since you went through belgium and the ring just the other side of the border? as soon as we got into germany from the north we were just sat at 100mph the majority of the way. lol if your going again i would recommend getting the ferry to amsterdam, its great on the way back getting a night out in the Dam before the ferry next day.
