Patch up job on the front of the Merc

Apparently if Lewis had hit the barrier just a little bit harder the chassis would have been damaged and the Merc would've missed the rest of the test week

Would have thought they'd have another nose/wing made up back at the factory and flown it out

At least it's back together and they can get back to testing the rest of the car

No doubt Bernie is also eyeing up the sprinkler tractors they're using to wet the track today - http://i.imgur.com/6ysQLjN.png

On another note, Button is out throwing in some laps (better late than never i guess) - http://i.imgur.com/KRjEGMR.jpg

I know times mean sweet FA at the moment but promising to see Merc powered cars in positions 1-4 right now and putting in plenty of laps.

It's official: Red Bulls day is done. Horner just confirmed it talking to AMuS. Vettel will travel back home this afternoon.

Hasnt gone to plan for RB and Vettel has it? Thats his 2 days running done, barely been out at all, covered 11 laps over 2 days.

On another note, Gary 'back of fag packet' Anderson article on McLaren's 'secret weapon' - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112341.
Be interesting to see if this works and whether or not other teams will follow suit.

I'm pretty sure it IS a new nose, it's just been reinforced (hence the tape ).

That's the impression I had last night from the various interviews, but not been as up to speed today.

"Apart from Vettel, no Renault-engined car had set a lap time on Wednesday by 1500 local time, with two hours of running still remaining.
Caterham's Marcus Ericsson did just 11 laps and Toro Rosso none at all.
On average, Mercedes-powered cars managed 51.7 laps on Wednesday, Ferrari-powered cars 47.5 laps and Renault just 6.3."

Really hope Renault have ballsed this up

Honestly think the restructuring of McLaren looks totally Brawn orientated. The role he could fill is not required to go to every race, sounds perfect for him.
