it was only a pre season friendly though and alot of players stayed at melwood for the game in Norway on monday

It's a pre-season game FFS, wind the rod in.
We started with Degen on RW, Robinson on LW, Poulsen and Shelvey in CM, Cole in CAM, our reserve keeper in Goal, Kelly at CB (where he hasn't played for about 18 months), The Greek started etc.
Apart from Carroll, Kuyt and Aquilani (who wants to go back to Italy anyway) we didn't have any nailed on 1st team starters involved. Carroll doesn't look that sharp, but no striker would look good with those players around him. Kuyt and Aquilani brought the level up in the 2nd half, not worried in the slightest. This is arguably our strongest squad, of which 1 played in that game:

Arse must have the worst physio dept ever. First Walcott, now Diaby. Bith injuries they had end of last season. Our physio team must have just though sod it and hope for the best over the summer.
Not the same since Gary Lewin left.
