I don't think Barton leaving is a bad thing. He's obviously been put out of place by something a few months ago (possibly the fact that we were after barnetta as a replacement for him) and since then he's done nothing but stir stuff and be disruptive, but has cleverly directed it at the club and played the fans like puppets with all the crap Tommy has quoted. If he was as dedicated to the cause as he makes out he is, why has he been trying to force the boards hand by speaking out and purposefully being controversial / distruptive?
Been a great player over the last 2 seasons, pity he's going, but his attitude has stunk last couple of months.

I'd agree with that TBH
Some of the stuff he's been putting on Twitter the past week just seems to be trying to cause as much tension in the dressing room as possible
