hey mate been readin ur thread just wonderin my exhaust center pipe at the moment hits the underneath of the car and does my head in, will gettin one of them conversion decat pipes help center the exhaust so it doesnt hit the sides? also like wot u done with the exhaust by puttin the bar accross so u can clamp it to it so the exhaust dont move! do u still have it like it? n e defaults? also you put ur ecu behind ur fog lights thing how do u go about puttin it in there do u have to block off the heater thing?? soz but these things doin my head in on mine! cheers

hi mate, As I never ren this car without the decat pipe I can't comment other than to say I have no issues with the exhaust catching the car.

I do still have that brace holding the centre pipe up. No problems with it, No vibration through the car or anything.
I'll I used was a strip of strong metal, 2 exhaust bushes from Halfords(Think they're off a mini) and a rubber strip again from halfords exhaust section.

To get the ECU up there was an absolute ballache. I had to cut all the mounting points off the ECU, Hammer at the bulkhead behind the dash and cut my hands to pieces
I haven't blocked off the air pipe and have no issues as of yet, Althouth I do plan to block it of someway just to be safe.

No major progress to report.
Today I fitted the Opel spark plug cover and Alarm LED as the Toad one is too dim. Also fitted black washer bottle cap.






Off now to take her for her first spin of 2010

Mate your ride is truly inspiring. As if i'm not impatient enough i really CANT wait to get my corsa now

I will point out before i saw this, i still wanted a 106 GTi rep with a saxo interior but i think i'll stick with my silver SXI now

Few pics of todays work done.

Custom exhaust fitted. from centre box back it's 2 1/2"





Led lights fitted into fog lights.




Also fitted a 90 amp alternator as the 65 amp wasn't upto the job. No pics as I didn't think people would give a toss.

The blue pipe?
It's what I had knocking around from my old XE Astra GSi, It was the aribox to AFM pipe on an indico hose kit I bought from Turbochris, I cut it doen to fit. I'll be ordering a new one in silver from Roose soon.

I got pulled last week for the German plates so now running standard plates
Fitted the whiteline rear ARB I bought last week.






Couple of bay pics. Still not finished under there though.



I was going to fit the Walbro fuel pump but couldn't be arsed. I may do it tomorrow when I wash the car.
