RB said, and I read on numerous sites that Steam will be supported, nothing about it being without dedicated servers. There's no way in hell they would do that.

It's straight from the horse's mouth though, not much room for ambiguity. Just P2P and matchmaking like the consoles. So that obviously means no custom maps or mods of any kind.
The IW forums are going into meltdown over it.

Its so so so fucking annoying! I have to put my tv on mute. Wish you could permently mute certain players!
Lobby mute WILL be possible in MW2.

Well I'm disapointed in that, it won't be so bad if the games can have alot of players but if it's limited like consoles then I won't be playing.

Of course you will. Even if you have to run around with a water pistol for the first 15 levels you would still play it.

No really I won't, MP is all about big slot servers for me, I don't get any enjoyment out of playing a 12 man server. I'll buy it for the SP campaign but I'll stick with WaW if the games are 12 man or whatever.

I prefer the limit of players. S&D would be rank with about 30 guys And free for all etc is pish.

Have you played on a big slot server on the PC ?
Console is very limited and you have to pay for everything compared to almost unlimited and not paying for anything, not good at all.
Console gamers would love there games to have dedicated stand alone servers, no lag lag, no "host ended game" or maxed 12 slots.
They really know how to piss of the PC community.
It's about money, getting PC players to pay for DLC..
VAC is crap, leaves hackers on the servers for weeks until they are banned.
Will be random people, totally about serious gaming and nothing else, where's the fun in then ?

In YOUR opinion, doesn't mean it's everyones. I could buy it for the PC, but I'd rather have it for my PS3 (which if you knew anything is actually free online too). So get a grip and realise we don't all like playing on a PC

360 is better than PS3 online though, no-one ever speaks on PS3.

Which I prefer. I hate Americans chatting shit. Which is why the 360 gathers dust whilst I play the PS3

I can add everyone I need to into my game without spending £40 a year to do so. It isn't needed tbh.

Orly
I never knew that, thank you very much I remember this for the future ( note to self, not all people enjoying playing on pc )
PC > 360 > PS3 Thanks to IW.net 360 > PS3 > PC
Ps3 is dead and lifeless online, no communication at all, might as well play with bots, I know I had a ps3 with call of duty 4 and waw.
For me PERSONALLY this is the PC community going backwards.
I enjoy big slot servers, lots of players, a joke and a laugh rather then 12 people and silence, get that with single player
