True Nath, very good point.
He said he'd leave for that tournament alone didn't he? maybe he knows deep down Liverpool don't want him for the price stated? Who knows what his motivation is, maybe he just wants to take the cash and play his career out being one of the top earners in the league, I can't fault that.

You get my point then.

City are going to have too many decent/good players soon that won't play well together on the pitch. 5th at best I'm thinking.

Maybe, I think a good manager would get a bit of balance and discipline to the team, I was sceptical of Hughes at the beginning but just give it time before we judge him, we all know you can't just build a team in a summer.

personally I think Villa have peaked, the will go backwards from now, with Barry and certainly without. Then you look at Man City, money to buy players, some top players there already, and you know they are going to spend more, I don't think Barry is that daft at all.

i suppose that we will have to wait and see, for me i dont think city will come good enough before he gets to 30-31 and they will probably want someone better at that time

Barry would have gone to Liverpool last year if he hadn't have been a greedy cunt and wanted £3m out of the transfer fee offered by Liverpool at the time.
Villa would have accepted £15m, but as Barry wanted £3m out of this they put the price up to £18m so they would still get £15m out of the deal. Liverpool didn't want to pay this amount and the deal fell through.
So, which either way you look at it he is a greedy cunt, he could have gone to Liverpool and earned approx £80 a week AND played in the Champions League, now he'll be dicking about in a mid-table team earning around the same money.

I am not sure if I read this right on Setanta News, but the little yellow ticker at the bottom read.. "Shearer to leave Newcastle Utd and manage WBA".
Do bare in mind I'm spazzed out on medication and I probably could be asleep as we speak and this is all a big dream.

The Shearer to WBA was in the News of the World apparently, can't see it happening to be honest

I rate him, but I guess good players need other good players around them in order to excel, so if he stands out in a half decent Wigan team, I'm sure he'll do ok for 1Man Utd or Real Madrid.
That theory went to pot with Berbatoss though.

Speaking of Berbatov, I think it's probably the Sun talking its usual nonsense but apparently Bayern are weighing up a £20 million bid for him

We wouldn't let him go for that I don't think. He probably wouldn't want to go either.
Nice thought though.

Burnley been linked with Danny Murphy, David Edgar, Kevin Doyle and Jonathon Spector. I'd like Doyle, would be a good partner for Paterson, not sure about the others though.

Murphy? Isn't he Captain of Fulham, can't see that one. The others are feasible though.
