Its going great cheers Tom just ironing out the last of the problems and then its on to tidying it all up.
Found the water leak then developed another so fixed that and now its fine. Just need to tidy the wiring and then clean it all up and get it all painted. Had no more problems with my exhaust but need to seal the joins so that's getting done along with another waxoyl underneath.

Car is broke YET AGAIN!
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=582371
No idea what's up with it. Its looking like yet another wiring fault so i'm going to check all the loom again and if there's still a problem then it'll be yet another loom! Im hoping its electrical and not mechanical as electrics tend to be cheaper than mechanical parts!
Oh well i'll just have to keep going i guess!

Its had a new loom once already! I taped and zip tied all the wires well out of the way of everything so it wouldn't happen again but it looks like it didn't work
I keep having visions of the timing marks not lining up again so i'm to check that as soon as i get daylight to put that out of my mind

Nah I can't find any breaks or damage to any wires. I'm going to change the crank sensor and see if its that. I think its just a case of trying to wipe these remaining fault codes, the only problem is the remaining fault codes shouldn't stop it running.

Jake if we weigh mine and yours in we could buy a yearly bus pass each!
Jon_C ye patience is one thing i do have. Endless money on the other hand isn't thats why it takes a while to fix problems like this

Changed the crank sensor and no difference The hall effect sensor fault has gone though and now the only one left is the Lambda sensor.
Surely the car would still start with the lambda not working? Or at least there should be another fault code for something else

Well seeing as i last updated this about 3 months ago i think its about time i did
The last problem with it not starting and the fault codes were just phantom problems I swapped a few bits and it still wouldn't start and eventually i drained the battery trying to get it started. Gave up with it for a few days and then jump started it off my dads car just to charge the battery and thought i'd give it a go turning the key. Started first time straight away So i left that as it was and its been fine since!
I still have a slight water leak from the hose from the water bar to the heater matrix pipes but i need to work out the diameter of pipe i need as the connections at either end are different sizes and i need to work out the length of pipe as its a tight fit and i could do with re-routing it to stop it kinking.
On a different note i've got my plans sorted for this year to do before PVS
Basic plans are:
Respray
Redo the interior - again.
Fit silencers and a CAT.
Tidy and paint the engine and bay.
Silicone hosing.
Relocate battery.
Engine rebuild.
Thats the basics of it but theres a lot more i've got planned it just all comes down to how much i can afford to do.
I'd also like a set of TB's at some point but again its down to money.
I have made a start on the car but its mainly been stripping it down and getting ready to start on the interior. So at the moment it has no dash
I'll keep posting photos when i make a proper start on things

Right i really need to get my finger out and do some of the things on my list!
Engine rebuild is not happening now as im not going to run it down the strip this time. The battery and engine bay are also staying as they are as i'm keeping the bonnet shut on the stand. Cat and silencers are also not being fitted as long as it passes it's MOT (which i'm still fannying about trying to get it ready for).
So basically plans are now respray and re-do the interior. I've made a start on the interior but need to get a few more bits done quickly. The respray will be done as soon as i can get the paint and time in a spray booth.
Other things to be done are:
Passenger side Depo
2 front tyres
Welding on the sill
Brackets for exhaust
Washer jets
Speedo drive
Dash lights
A, B, C pillars
Its not a lot work wise its just more money and time to do it all Still need to buy my tickets for PVS for a start!
On another note any one that has a steering wheel puller could i borrow it as my steering wheel refuses to come off no matter how much force is used!

Well a few updates in the lead up to PVS again.
Firstly:
I had a spin in the snow when i was messing around with a few mates and ended up parked backwards touching a grass verge. After getting out to investigate i noticed the rear wheel was on a slant. Naturally first thought was i'd bent it but then after speaking to two of my mates who saw the spin happen, i never made contact with anything so i couldn't have bent anything.
A bit of further investigation brought me to this,
How this has happened within a year considering it was undersealed is beyond me but still it meant i had to replace the rear beam. Nothing special just another drum rear axle with new bushes.
I took the chance to refurb my Whiteline RARB whilst i was swapping the axles as it was looking a bit tired.
Before:
And after:
Also whilst on the subject of the exterior i've sanded the whole of the car down waiting for it to go into the bodyshop in the next couple of weeks
Bit of a shit picture but you can kind of tell it's now matt white after sanding
Then i made a start on the interior.
Dash stripped and on its way out:
And out:
And my new steering wheel :

And new dash back in
Thats the interior dealt with just need to put my b and c pillar plastics back in. I'm hoping to get the respray done it time but its looking like a tight squeeze so it may be coming to PV a bit of a mess
