Need to fire off that dodgy bonnet though, tried sanding but got more clogs than Holland.
That might have something to do with my amazing spraying, topped with a coat of rollered on blackboard paint

I might bodge the sanding so you get annoyed and want to change it.

Can you not take a few bits of the bonnet reinforcing out, Save a kilo or two there.
Was thinking about this at work today, A nice set of morettes would look great on it, just take the inner lamps out for an air intake and extra cooling.

After Combe I'll probably look at putting the battery in the boot to swap a bit of weight around, the bonnet probably isn't worth the bother when you factor in the risk of going through the skin and needing a new bonnet, I'll maybe look into CF in the future, although if I do I'll probably end up going for a full CF front end, wings, bonnet, bumper. Plenty of things to spend money on before that though.
I want my C SXi wheels powdercoating and wrapping in r888s or similar in time for PVS just so it's "finished", rather than it being on shonkey comps with massive patches of powdercoat missing and grinder damage from trying to remove a locking wheel nut yesterday. Next priority after that is probably coilovers seeing as my Billies are getting on for 5 years old now and look a bit 4x4 spec at the minute, they're too soft for track too, the 1.2 rolled a lot so get some probably GAZ coilovers on it, full geo setup and see how we go from there. All in good time though, I need to actually drive it and enjoy it a bit first

Towbar purchased for the van, hoping to get that fitted after work tomorrow. It's all coming together now, well apart from the car, that's still in bits waiting for more prep then paint

I'll hopefully feel more confident once he's actually seen it and knows what needs doing.
I've had an idea about the aux belt too in case we're struggling, I've not heard anything about the alternator bracket I found the other day so I started thinking again. If we have a power steering hose with a threaded end that isn't needed we could cut it down to make a loop, screw the threaded end into the pump, poor some oil in till it's about full then the other end of the pipe just pushes on with a jubilee clip, fit the pump back on as an idler which shouldn't seize because it's lubed

No idea, if it's a non-PAS X14XE rear mount then it needs buying.
Where is the alternator adjustment?

I think that wheel is the tensioner, I read somewhere about the X14XE alternator bracket with a list of what was needed and there was a tensioner listed, I'll ask the lad now
