it would be like me claiming to know more about running a puma then ian or steve, fact is i never have so i would know nothing about it.
left me out but yes i agree with you, although colin has owned an m3 which i'd say has more horror stories/prices when things go wrong than evos

honestly man, it's gettin a bit out of hand now.
Yous have all jumped on Jay for having an opinion which has come across a bit wrong. I mean 15 pages off shit thrown at the guy is harsh to
say the least. Even the fuckin owner of the site has joined in.
I remember a few years ago when I asked about buying a scooby and got basically the same answer as Jay gave on here. I think it was AK that said it as he was the only fella that had the cash to run one back then No one jumped on him tho.

This is tame compared to the olden days, used to wind folk up to the point of death threats & folk phoning you saying they were going to set your parents on fire if you didnt like their car.
This is absolute cheese on toast tbh!!

Absolutely but then these people should offer constructive views on ownership rather than posting a load of generalised internet wish wash about affordability?
Exactly what I said on Page 8.
Had more constructive points been made rather than generalisations then this thread wouldn't have spread into the farce it is now and people wouldn't look like complete big headed cocks.

I sensed some tension on page 15, went back and read the previous pages and now feel majorly let down.
Could someone not just tell Lee how much everything costs roughly and be done with it?

Servicing every 4500k however most of those are just oil changes, using premium oil that's about £70
Bigger services will be more than most cars due to front & rear diffs
If the clutch goes its about 1k
Decent pads & discs you'll be looking at £600, Ferodo DS2500 were about £200 from memory
Tyres shouldn't be too much different from the Skoda
Fuel is pricey, especially when mapped. Expect 20mpg
Most of all, despite all that they are fucking awesome and I'm jealous if you get one, p.s. get a white one
