Get the 60mm kit imo otherwise in couple of weeks you'll think the car isn't low enough and regret not going 60mm in my experience, 195/50's will be fine being vauxhall wheels they'll have the right offset. Also for £10 more there's always the option of getting coilovers, then you can choose how low you want to go:

yeahh i think i would end up wanting to go lower if i only went 40mm, yerp they are et49 thankfully, would a cheap set of coilovers be better than a shock and spring kit? ride quality and performance wise? i think the adjustability is good but i read up a few times where people have had problems where there coilovers catching with there tyres? :S dont really want any hassel with it as im hasseled with the car quite a bit already ahaa

About the same ride quality tbh, although another option is getting branded springs and shocks second hand for that amount of money, something like spax or gmax.

the original plan was to get the FK coilovers but they have stopped selling them for corsa b on ebay now i think i might just get the jamex ones here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jamex-BaseLine-Coilovers-Vauxhall-Corsa-B-All-Models-/160857218021?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2573d65be5

i have been reading up about coilovers and although i would like a set theres loads of things that i really dont want the hassel with, people seem to have a lot of problems when fitting the fronts :S some catch on the tyre and you need spacers etc, then some have problems with the top mounts knocking, i really dont want to be messing with things, i just want to buy them put them on then leave it

my next door neighbour made me a manifold cover which i will use untill i find a decent original one, or if i like this one on then i will just keep it on

had a long talk with my mum this morning about my car insurance, and it looks like the money i had to lower the car will have to go towards my deposit on insurance, my mum and dad have been awesome saving for it so i feel i better chip as much as i can, then once insurance is sorted i will carry on with things
