Hoping the weather will hold out so I can attack the paint with my DAS-6
Get some shine back! Looking these pics makes me think the wheels need be changed pronto or go another colour as you cant see them
Will also be fitting the mudflaps today aswel for the rear

Glad it's all ok now mate! IMO it needs the wheels changed or put a different colour but otherwise it's awesome! Love how there's no intercooler on show either

Well... Went to drive the car this evening only to find a wet drivers footwell and car wouldnt start. I thought this is odd...
Took ecu out and water poured out of it fucked right off! with the mental heavy rain over last 24 hours, its fucked it i think
Water must have got past the rubber gromet somehow

Look isn't taped up and has poured in thrOugh the gap in the rain tray.
I had the exact same thing happen on my old XE. Put the rubber grommet in and bind the look tight with loads of insulation tape. Sorted.

Well from last nights post, the ecu got wet
So i spoke to a mate and he said wrap it in a nappy(good job I have a little one) and leave it over night then tomorrow morning go to motor factors and get some Wynns Electrical contact cleaner.
Spray that on then wrap back up in the nappy and leave for 24 hours. I will prob change the nappy again tonight tbh. Much easier than changing my little boy
So just sprayed it in the contact cleaner
and then wrapped back up in nappies, Pampers ones so they better suck the water out
If not then new ECU time, I will probably go for a phase 1 or 2 one

Can't actually believe you used a nappy lmfao
There's plenty of other things you could have used to keep it dry

New rocker bolts have arrived for when the rocker/belt covers come back from powdercoaters along with a new header tank
Also fitted the mudflaps on the rear and gave it a quick polish before it starts raining

unless you dropped the ecu into a river whilst there was current still flowing through it it would have more then likely been fine anyway
nice nappy though

That looks great. Just needs the jacking point covers put back on.
I'd keep the original alloys and paint them silver
