Yer the RX8 seats, the cloth ones. They were fun to fit and are extremely comfortable

The bonnet is coming along nicely, its taken a heck of a lot of work to sort out the damage and its been a slow process to make sure theres no sinkage in the filler or any structual/strengh issues.
Hopefully will be on for VBOA

The bonnet we think 14 different layers of paint, if you look back theres a photo showing the layers and you can count everything from bare metal through the different layers of primer, paint & lacquar lol.

This morning the postman brought me some fantastic news, safe to say I've been bricking it for the last few weeks and this has been a long time coming, but if you care to listen to me waffle on I will explain and my username "l88fty" will make more sense
About 3 years ago I sold a car which was SORN at the time of selling it, it had a private plate on which I couldn't take of because the vehicle was a half built project car and would get through an MOT etc. to get it taxed and take the plate off so I had no choice but to let it go.
The plate, L88 FTY was a gift from my parents for my 21st birthday and has been on about 5 different cars until when I lost it.
The guy who bought the car of me with the plate, had agreed to transfer it back to me until he realised the engine needed a lot of work on the car, which I had no idea because it had been stored for over a year and I'm not mechanically minded. So he demanded money back or he'd keep it, which I understood.
He said the car would be scrapped, so I gave up as I couldn't afford to pay him anything and the plate had no value it was just sentimental value as it's my nickname "Lofty".
A year later I checked the reg on the MID and the car was insured, which meant I could get the plate of it. There were a few emails back and forth over the next 2 years asking if he'd let me have it back, discussing prices for compensation for his troubles etc.
Then out of the blue I got an email asking if I wanted it back as he had given up and the car was being scrapped, I sent him the fee money plus a bit extra for his troubles - which is where the 2 weeks bricking it comes in - and true to his word he's done it and I have my plate back
Even if I do nothing else to the Corsa now, just having my plate on it will be awesome as its the only car it hasn't been on and I said the B would be my last project now and I plan to keep it and pass it on to a son/daughter in future years.
It should be back on the car in time for VBOA, so you will all know which one is me!!

Some good news that mate.
Bet you were over the moon when you received that email.
Glad the other guy actually bothered emailing you instead of just scrapping the car with the plate on!

It's amazing to have it back mate, specially as the Corsa is the last project I'll do and the only one I've done I've done this extent. Even if I did nothing else to the car now, this completes it for me

The bonnet is finally on and this evening took a trip to Brotherhood Retail park in Peterborough to see what all the fuss was about at a cruise!
Just a reminder, one heck of a fabrication job!!
Cheers, Lofty

As do some others, but it's each to there own.
The objective was to make the front end of the car look very aggressive whilst still keeping the breed. This is why I went for the mix of the badboy extension & Astra MK3 GSI vents.
