fergie facts

0 - The only British team Manchester United have faced under Sir Alex Ferguson but never beaten are Southend United. Bogey.

75% - Man Utd have won 304 of 404 Premier League home matches under Sir Alex Ferguson, a win rate of 75%. Era.

527 - Sir Alex Ferguson has won 527 Premier League games, at least 161 more than any other manager (Wenger 366). Legend.

35% - Of teams he faced more than 10 times, Sir Alex Ferguson's highest loss percentage as Man Utd manager was v Norwich City (35%). Shock.

38 - Sir Alex Ferguson has enjoyed more wins over Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur (both 38) than any other teams (all comps). Routine.

70% - The only manager with a better win percentage in the PL than Sir Alex Ferguson (65%) is Jose Mourinho (70% - 20+ games). Heir?

2.16 - Alex Ferguson is one of three managers to average over two points per PL game (Mourinho (2.33) & Mancini (2.05) - 100+ games). Usual.

How so? Hearing a lot of these random statements, first I've ever heard of it.

I'd imagine the rules are being misconstrued and it actually means you cannot appoint or look to appoint a specific candidate without notifying the markets within 48 hours. They have as long as they want to appoint the fit and proper person.
As I explained a few pages ago, they are not under any legally binding clause sayign they must appoint a manager within a few days etc. However, as a listed company, theya re currently without a very senior member of the management team of the company and the longer that position is unfilled, the more the uncertainity which means the lower the share price. They wont leave it long as they want some stability, thats it.

Kenwright tells SSN that no deal for Moyes has been done and he'll be in the dugout at the weekend.

I'm not sure anyone has told him he's out of contract at the end of the season or not

Still a small glimmer of hope it's someone else. I can't see Moyes attracting some one like Ronaldo

When does the financial fair play thing properly come into practice? Can't see Ronaldo and Rooney occupying 400k worth of wages between them a week, surely. Rooney pretty much has to go if Ronaldo comes back.

I wouldn't be worrying about FFP they'll just get a Bus sponsorship for £5m a year or something similar. Already got £20m a year for sponsoring Carrington didn't they?

Don't know many bus companies with that amount of money to spend on sponsorship
