I'd just keep going and eventually you will have the stamina to go further which in turn should enable you to do the same distance quicker.

Probably best to keep doing it on that route tbh. Difference in terrain and elevation and still being able to maintain a good pace is a great thing.

Well technically we did 8.6k today but for some daft arse reason I stopped it at 5k and then restarted it
Stopped briefly after 5k to sort out roads with the dog and carried on, did the last 3.6k in 19.57 so it worked out the average pace was 5.27/km
Like I said only the second time I've done it and I'm under no illusions that I'm fit because I wouldn't class myself as it at all lol, doing park run on Saturday so will see how I get on

Attempting distances again. Did 11.5 miles with an 8:48 mile average which I'm quite happy with. Need to try and do this distance often so I can build up pace for half marathon in October. I know it's a whil off but I'd like to be prepared.

I've signed myself up for a half marathon on the 25th July and set myself a target of 1hr 40min. Better pull my finger out!

Run 3 - 18th May 2015
6 miles in 47.52 at 7.58 min/mile pace
Mile 1 - 7.54
Mile 2 - 7.59
Mile 3 - 8.00
Mile 4 - 7.58
Mile 5 - 8.01
Mile 6 - 8.00
I was happy with that as I was looking to pace myself at 8.00 min/mile. The first 3 miles were hard work as I was running into the wind, I got the benefit though on the way back.

Stupidly I'm doing the 5, 10 and 20k Spartan races in September with Matt L so need to get back on it, ran for the first time in about 6 weeks today and near killed myself to maintain a decent pace.

I was glad to get to the end of this run as it felt a lot like hard work. I know I'll be faster for it in the end.

Did 8km yesterday. My mate made us stop 3 times due to his legs. He's started wearing neoprene straps but said now his lower legs hurt! Took us 53min.

Cumbrian run again this October so thought I'd best get out and do some running as its been about 4 months. 13.1 miles in 2 hours 18 isn't exactly a good pace but suppose I should be happy as I've never really ran a distance In a while
