I hope it's the sandwich plate because if it's crank shaft seal and i've got to take belt off i'm going to scrap it!

Oil pump seals crank shaft seals oil pump gasket etc are in it

It,s not sandwich plate cause oil was on the oil pump casing, im 99% sure its the oil pump to block gasket

That means belts gonna have to come off.

What's the problem with the belt coming off? Surprised you didn't change gaskets and seals whilst it was out but you live and learn

Hope you sort it! No point taking the easy option of jacking it in! Not as rewarding that way!

I'm not even gonna mention gasket sealant (bodge) I don't do bodging.

Just had a chat with me dad,gonna take crank pulley off monday day and alternator belt and put a packer on so we can start it and see what happens. Can't see anything with it on.

Gutted to hear the new sump gasket hasnt sorted it Dan My money is on the crank seal tbh. Mine leaks a bit on my x16. Is it losing too much oil to drive then dude?

Yea as soon as it gets warm it comes out pretty quick. :/ Don't think i can drive it. Feds will know where i've been with drops everywhere.

Belt of isn't really a big job. Not worth scrapping it over anyway.

He isnt going to scrap it he is taking the piss, everything is off car just need bottom pulley off, i have a new seal here ready to fit.
Gaskets that needed doing were donw when it was out, didnt no crank seal was fucked so it didnt get done.
Since what he said was only a joke stop with the shit u really think he would scrap it cause of a seal?
Makes my piss boil some shit on here

Hahahaha.

Everyone on here knows i'd never scrap it,he obviously doesn't know me well enough,his posts tell you that.

Gonna order a new crank seal and oil pump gasket and try and tackle it.. Just been looking through some of the pics from when engine was out and we did belt,been so much easier doing it then lmao.

I'll learn...

I have got 100% first offer on scrap he said that yesterday, ill strip it swap bits onto mine and banger race the rest be a r8 laugh redtop in micro bangers, ive told dan he can have a go init if it does go to that stage though.
