Hobbit 5/10

Massive let down. Nout like the book, shoe horned lots of pointless shit into it and main bad guy looked like a dude in a rubber suit. There where some stunning effects. Along side some dire ones.

All in all, I could have given it a 6, maybe 7 but the main scene where Bilbo finds the ring was errr wrong. Very wrong, and not just to the book but it now doesn't tie in with the LOTR trilogy either. Baffling.

The Expendables - 6/10

Disappointed given the hype, time taken for me to get round to watching it and the cast.

Safe house 8/10.

Guns, fighting and denzel. Whats not to like?

Project X 9/10.

Loved it. Tits, tits and tits. Lack of large chest bollocks stopped me giving it a 10.

Easy A - 7/10, a teeny film about a slut who isn't a slut. a very easy watcher but only as a filler for an hour's gap in your bordem

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - 6/10

Beautiful! It looks absolutely stunning.
However, the story feels disjointed and at times incredibly slow.
The film spends 30 minutes introducing the dwarves but does such a piss poor job that you never feel any sense of connection to anybody except their leader who incidentally seems to suffer from some form of bi-polar disorder.
It should have been 40 minutes shorter.

Funny thing is, I hated the LOTR books as they simply dragged on, but loved the films as they were streamlined and more straight to the point.
Looks like it's going to be the opposite with The Hobbit as I really enjoyed the book and the first film drags on forever.

Absolute shit. Someone told me it was better than they were expecting and not that bad, I disagree. I want my hour and a half back.

Killer Joe - 4/10

Er... don't really know what to say here... The whole thing was incredibly awkward. Can't say I enjoyed anything about it. Except perhaps for Thomas Haden Church's performance.

I quite enjoyed it too tbh!

People who've watched the hobbit, did you watch it in 48fp? Are all screenings in that or is it selected cinemas?
