48 fps is only available as HFR3D and I'm done paying extra for 3D films at the cinema.

Crap, don't want to pay extra, or watch it in 3D, so that's out

Alex cross - 2/10 remember the original 2 films with Morgan freeman being mediocre detective stuff. Not sure who this Tyler perry is that's replaced him but its terrible.

This is one of my favourite films. So well put together. Some great scenes also.

There is a directors cut btw, is an extra 30mins long

the man with the iron fists - 3/10. a film with kung fu, a hip hop sound track by the rza, bit of action, slight comedy etc. whats not to like? well most of it, sadly. completely unnecessary amounts of blood which usually dont feature in kung fu films, kinda spoiled it. i like kung fu stuff not so much for violence but more the sort of moves and crazy ways they attack people. looks like dancing at times. this wasnt any of that. features russell crowe which i found odd. shame, had high hopes id enjoy it.

J.Edgar

Errrrr kind of stuck on this one. Watched all of it intently but can't say I massively enjoyed it. Quite slow but flowed.

7/10

Total Recall (2012) - 7/10

Much better than I expected. Completely baffled this only has a 30% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
It felt like The Bourne Identity meets I, Robot as directed by J.J. Abrams.
The visuals are absolutely stunning and I've got to say it's some of, if not the best and most consistent CGI I've seen all year.
The story is superficial and plot-hole galore, but the movie is just so extremely entertaining that you don't have a second to question what goes on, you just flow with it.

I used to enjoy your in-depth critique Balling.

Then you gave Ted 8/10.
