£11 quids worth of windscreen wipers. 2 for vectra and 2 for the corsa. ive had flat blade wipers on corsa now for about 3 years. been great and only in the last month or so have started not working so well. cheap enough to replace. will give me something to do later on.

one old, one new

both new. need to satin black the arms at some point and remove them 80's rubber boot things.

both done on corsa. glass is fair shiney it seems

johnny's mk1 escort in primer. pretty much how its going to run at the drag racing. no time to paint it.

mount made for the fuel tank

which will sit like that nicely. says all he has left to do is plumb the fuel lines in, fit some bbracing in the front end and fit a seat in and thats it. looking forward to seeing it in action.

another startling update.....

i have a tail light out as a few police officers and friends have pointed out to me for the last few weeks so purchased another. also got some headlight bulbs as mine are very dim i seem to think. unsure if its because of the smoked headlights or not? i cant say i have noticed it until a few weeks ago. perhaps its because headlights on vectra are very bright even though non xenon ones.

hoping the blue end on the bulbs doesnt emit too much blue. something to fit later.

rubbish updates lately. hopefully break something this weekend so i have something to post up about.

i have got a hold of a digital camera now so might be able to take better detailed photos of things as the n96 is ok until you put it on to a computer screen.

just need to learn how to take photos properly now.

messing on with camera still

focused on breather filter

then focused on manifold.

camera is so much better than the phone can actually see how much clearance there is from caliper to wheel. as in not much.

grand. all washed ready for the local drag racing tomorrow. sadly it looks like its going to rain so might not run. just got the inside of the car to clean and put helmet in etc.

digital camera pics are far better than phone camera pics.

me and the slick went for a visit to help the great johnny m put last few bits on to his escort ready for some drag strip action tomorrow, well today as its half 4 in morning and i gotta be out of bed at 8. anyway.

delightful flip mode front end

some 2.9 cosworth v6 engine that runs on dta

safety devices roll cage installed

fuel system sorted

slick the grafter

someone kindly donated an old harness from a corsa. not sure who though, or if there was a choice in the matter.

johnny likes the rover seat and steering wheel in the escort. reminds him of his roots. harness fits well aswell.

9" wide wheels not for scene reasons. simply as its wide arch and to fill them.

thats it ready to race in morning. its going to be a very nice car once its all painted up aswell.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTmDnFVtWG4

spits good flames aswell.

today was local 1/4mile day at kirkbride air field. i woke up after 3 hours sleep, seen the rain, went back to sleep and eventually arrived after lunchtime. some pics.

the van got 16 something. with bigger wheels on back the ratio has changed so is now into 4th so its actually a touch slower.

corsa c with astra vxr engine on dta mapped by the good man himself. got a 13.2 last i heard. also beat the aston twice.

free car, 1800 lotus elise engine. ran low 14's, pure abuse and general comedy. had many battles with a civic all day, very close races. one of my favourite random cars there.

small boy adam got a 15.9 in the cougar.

thats the green civic the rover battled with towards the end. abuse all day. great car that civic.

10 seconds dead. mental.

looks the part. not actually all that quick at all.

mental. just mental.

it really can

as i said before. mental.

that bloke was taking pictures.

my mate chatted up the butty van woman.

banger

didnt see it run but christ thats some supercharger on it. throttles bigger than something thats quite big.

time to go sadly. was a good day once rain stopped off.

jimbo the barbarian drank some ale

that bloke is just dodgy looking.
