Great deal. Fabregas is over rated.
Bait
Genuinely isn't.
Stats dont lie, creates more chances than Xavi, scores more than him too.

Stats lie all the time, Fraser Forster is the best keeper in Championship and SPL history if the stats were to be believed.
Xavi is on a different plain altogether from Fabregas.

Well happy with Enrique, we've needed a reliable LB for years, appears to be a bit of a snip at £5.5m too
Arsenal are going to be alot weaker without Fabregas and Nasri (if he leaves). I suppose they will strengthen at the back with the money and rely and Wilshire and the welsh lad in CM. Still think you'll be weaker for it.

He is easily worth 40m though. If you think of his age, his shirt sales, his current ability and his potential.

My short-ish 2p... Fabregas is welcome to leave and will go with everyones blessing, injuries have limited him somehwat the past 2 seaosns but he is still an incredible incredible player and will be MASSIVELY missed, anyone suggetsign toherwise is deluded. Ramsey maybe can take his place ina few years but not ready yet and Wilshere is NOT suited to that same role, he is at is best sitting back a bit. Mata maybe will be a good signing for that hole, im not sure where he usually plays? otherwise we have rosicky and arshavin as other CM potentials but age means they couldnt really be considered as first choice :S
Nasri, well he will get a lot of abuse if he leaves like this but sod him, best off at Man City as he wont be able to be at is best there IMO (same with everyione who goes there). Not a huge loss on his own in some respects as not that effective where we play him BUT with Cesc going, we would im sure have played Nasri in the middle and thats where he was so so effective the first half of this seaosn and that is a big big loss, its no coincidence that he went very quiet when he wetn back to the wing (wenger has a habit of playign people on the wing when thay are CM or CF - Rosicky, Arshavin,. Bendtner, Gervinho (already!), Walcott etc.)
Gutted to lose both BUT hopefully it will have a torres style effect and we cna re-invest the £60ish million in 3 new players (at least - everyone is still forgettign we need a plan b up front and Chamakh aint ti, Gervinho seems to be being played out wide already)
if wenger doesnt do this and the seaosn starts badly (as expected - little creativity and only rvp scoring) then expect even me to be callign for his head by the end of september

I would as well, Fabregas is good but not sure he is as good as everyone makes out. I think he might even struggle to make the bench at Barca.

Xavi will turn 32 through next season and they'll be hoping to play their usual 60+ games or whatever, Fabregas will get sporadic game time the same as Sanchez and Affelay imo.

Do you really expect him to reinvest? I bet he comes out with some bullshit about balances the clubs finances and how he would be irresponsible for adding any debt to the club if he were to splash out.

Until I see new players in Arsenal shirts i'll not believe there will be any investment.

Cesc gone. Thankyou and goodbye.
He was great. But not a legend like Adams, Wright, Seaman, Henry etc etc.
Time to move on.
