Didn't we pay 17m for Kagawa? Not quite a "ridic sum"

Depends how m uch he wants Rooney to stay, dont forget Rooney going is more than just the fact you are losing him, you are then giving an opportunity for a rival to take advantage, so there is more value I think in turning down Ozil to keep Rooney, even if perhaps Ozil is a bit better.
by a bit better, do you mean about 5x ?? Rooney is not, and never will be, a #10 playmaker. He's a striker, a centre forward, diff positions.
Kagawa is an awesome player. We had a deal lined up to sign him before you guys paid a ridic sum and we went for Cazorla instead. Just actually use him this year and youll be fine :/
No I dont mean about 5x.
Maybe 2.5x
.
Or something

Dont know about City but united makes perfect sense, if they wanted to keep Rooney then noway could they sign Ozil
If you believe that you'll believe anything. Ozil and Rooney could play in the same team. Where was Herrera fitting into this team with Rooney then?

Be interesting when Ozil makes the natural step up from Arsenal to City in a year or two.

Im quite sure that Ozil, along with di Maria, Modric, Kaka and probably Khedira too were all offered around as potential sales but none of them wanted to leave so was futile anyway. Ozil seems to have come around purely because he sounds like a big poof who needs the faith and support of the manager and he was the one (along with Kaka) who gave way. Suspect di Maria and Modric's pre-season form probs helped them too
I have a feelign Khedira may offski in Jan too, as they have Alonso, Illara and Casemiro for CDM now and probs could get a good fee for him. Id hope that we go in for him tbh, equally as good as L.Bender thouigh probs twice the price :/

Maybe that's what our plan is, let Arsenal bed him in to the Premier League then we'll sign him from them.
We could of had Ozil and Rooney in the same team no problem. That would have been some statement of intent.

The fact United bought Fellaini, bid for Khedira and Rooney wants out would make me think the suggestion that they were offered Ozil and turned him down is utter nonsense personally.
He's a different type of player to all 3 of those players but ultimately he is better.

I don’t know what’s going on, man. I’m just all jammed up inside. Lost my abilities. Been stripped of all of my god-given talents. Including the talents to be able to have sex with any woman I choose, or throw a f*cking ball fast, or to not prematurely come in my pants. Sometimes I just don’t even know which one hurts the most. I’m ashamed of myself.

Maybe we should have rules in here stating that unless your team has won the CL you can't post.

Why would we want all the knowledgable people to be blocked from posting?
