UPDATE:
30th April
Some good progress over the last week.
First off.... Ben's Van
Ben fitted some Bilstien shocks complete with Eibach springs on the front (as they came up at a good price and are better than the Koni's he had previously fitted.
He also fitted Modified Drive flanges to except larger outer CV's, an M-Tech long shaft and Courtenay tiebar spacers.
Next he raided the parts bin and found an old metro fan and a part chopped up Pacet fan. So he fitted both
With the idea of having the front one running as normal and the other on a switch for additional cooling if required.
He then fitted his Mocal oil cooler in the only position it would now feasibly fit
And secured the intercooler and pipework for hopyfully the last time
Ben also picked up these little beauty's last week (Cheers Matt )
And filled the boot with parts.... again!
On to mine....
Finished making the support straps for my EPAS unit
Trial fitted it
Had the parts powder coated
Then bolted it into position... connected the pipe work to the rack itself... and made some pipework up for the Reservoir
Other work has consisted of taking the front brakes off the Calibra and fitting them on the Corsa
Removing the seats from the Corsa in preparation for the Battery cabling (battery will now be in the boot) / Nitrous lines and ICE wiring.
I fitted my various Gauges in their pods ready to be fitted on the dash
And took some random pics
Anybody want to buy some 4 stud Vaux fitment 19's???
Im a bit worried about the pipework from the Turbo to the K&N.... room is tight!
Hardboiled
And Raw
And finally...
One of my CV joints went on the Calibra on the way home from work friday... so have been trying to sort that, but at the moment the driveshaft won't budge out of the gearbox! doh!

UPDATE:
15th May.... The Mother of all updates (115 Photos!!!)
Sorry I haven't posted sooner, just been soooo busy working on the cars.
First up we have the interior
And a few gauges to go in it
Random Pic
We ran Live and Earth cables from the battery to the passenger footwell just behind the glovebox where there are 2 distrubution blocks. And some hefty connections soldered
Gauges and Cabling fitted
You can just see the boost gauge to the right of the steering wheel also
Next up we have a few bits and bobs that Ben has brought for the Van, see if you can guess what they are
One of my Reyland Calipers
And my rebuilt rear caliper (powder coated with new seals, pads, clips and pins etc)
Andy fitting the Caliper
Rear disc beam all fitted, and I painted the inside (hub area) of the discs
Started plumbing in some of the vacuum hose
Some nice competition engine mounts arrived for mine (one is wrong though Grrr...)
Some Astra VXR Injectors (470cc) for Ben's Van
Time to change the engine mounts around
Old and new
The above looks ok doesn't it.... well its not. Or at least it wasn't...
To get the mount to fit I had to drill the otherside of the chassis leg out to allow for clearance of the rubber insert and to also get a bolt on
Not pretty!!!
Time to change the Rear mount.... Here's a standard mount (left) My old TAS Nova mount (Middle) and the new mount for mine (Right)
And in she sits
New Walbro 255 pump on the left.... Standard pump on the right
And also the new pump you saw early being fitted into Ben's tank
And after mine had been fitted
Another picture of my rear brakes
And with the rear wheels on
Me Mincing
And with the front wheels on and back on the ground after 7 months in the air
Ben fitted his Braided Hoses
I think its a good time for a tea break.... The first ever down the barn now we've finally got a kettle Although we did have to boil river water, it tasted great
Another pic of mine on the ground
And Ben humping his dog
Time to make the intercooler fit the bumper... the rougher the better
And remove the van's interior
Most cartoon charactors have a light bulb above their heads when they have a bright idea..... Ben has a strip light
Time to fit that old TAS engine mount I had to a mates Valver Corsa (Wurzul)
And at the same time Padge wanted to change his brake pads on the Cupra R
Mmmm Bilstein's finest
Offered one of my 19's up just to see how it would look
Still working on that engine mount
Charlie looks on
Ben fits a new CV to his Shaft.... uh errrrr
Whilst Padge Pisses about
Looking Smooooth....
Is that a scarecrow???
Tidy engine bay
Andy hard at work supporting the door
Down comes the Van
Out with the old injectors
And in with the VXR's 470's
This is how the front end will look when finished Just imagine that behind you with the orange light flashing!!!
Time to load the cars up ready for the long trip up north to get some exhausts fitted
Some space at last.... better get the cars back before Dad puts a tractor in there
All ready to go.
Ok Monday morning just gone (yesterday) 6am
We prepare for the journey
Dam that looks cool
Mines a bit more tatty
It started pissing it down with rain on the M6... Great!
8am at a motorway service station
Back on the road we go
And we arrive at our destination bang on 9am
We off load the cars
And go for a walk round the wonderful Stokeport
We return at 4:30pm to be greeted by this badboy
Its a 2.5" System (straight through centre) with a small rear silencer and 3.5" rolled out tip, complete with a welded in Lamda boss next to the Turbo (The down pipe from the Turbo it 2.25")
Ben's Van is having exactly the same but that won't be ready till Friday so we just took mine home
Can't wait to give here a clean and fit the new rear lights as she's currently covered in 7 months worth of dust!!!
And one last pic on the way home last night
There you have it.... The end of what must be one of the longest updates in history
More coming soon....
