er 95mph, wont pull past 4,500rpm on a flat! too high geared i think, mind you im not running my fuel pressure atm so its running abit lean to save fuel

did 110mph and was still under 5000rpm, prob geared to 150mph if it would do it

decided to get my arse into gear and get the megasquirt mapped

so i headed 315miles to newcastle!! (and on one tank of petrol!!!!)

the first day was a complete shambles, nothing went right, had intermittent missfire, which cured it self, then came back, found to be a dodgey injector, had oil on it! changed injectors, then another missfire accured, and we were on the bridge of giving up, as the laptop was crashing all the time. So we went for a curry to clear our head (was a very very hot curry ) and the next day everything when as planed

Dave A at work

the base map loaded on standard injectors

after a few tweeks

10% discount, well so im told and adds 20bhp

prove adds power

150bhp at 7400rpm rev limit

then the fun started!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75s_MthoT0Q
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJcp6C_5jYw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbDR4l2jZnI

after a ragging, blow a hole in the exhasut so will need to be weilded up AGAIN

then after someone, (not me) when 1st......2nd...... (7400rpm) back into first

this happened

opps, 8 bent exhasut valves

o well

You need new valve springs if they are old and make some piston pockets at least +1,5mm deep.

You are using Dbilas 262 deg cam with 10 mm of valve lift instead of 241/242 original ones with 8,45mm of lift.

I wouldn't fit Kent SBD one however. They break my OEM tensioner and almost 16 valves where bent. Better use Dbilas valve springs.

No you dont, his cams clear on the standard pistons......
People have run NEwmann 288 deg cams with around 10.6mm lift on the standard valve train without problems

Good stuff Warren, nice to the see the MS came good in the end.
Shame it didn't last too long
Is power starting to fall away at the limiter or still rising? Cant see the rr graph pic on my pc for some reason

much difference, picks up, has torque

added so much more mid range. 20bhp at 4000rpm

and it can now rev

well did
