Well the car passed its MOT today!
Amazed its not the word lmao, I honestly thought it wouldnt get through due to emissions but after about 5-10 min of warming the CAT up it sailed through...
There was a few little things that needed sorting, such as rear number plate light and passenger washer jet.. but other than that its fine!
Said its a bit low though lol and I struggled to get it over the rollers and onto the ramps at the start! See below -
Needs a good clean now as it was wet and muddy today.
Anyway its up for sale now as its time to move onto bigger and better things like a VXR

How much did you pay the tester to 'pass' it?
Only joking. Its a great car. Couldn't see any reason why it wouldn't of passed tbh.
Its a shame your selling but like you say.....VXR is calling. Sure that passenger ride in dans didn't help.

What scared me lol?
I dont remember being scared by a vxr....it just made me want one even more! I preferd going out in Phils mate Tonksys befre though as it had a Miltek so just sounded sexual!
The noise from a Remus is one of many reasons to sell and get a vxr

What VXR are you getting?
Saw it on PH last night for sale, was surprised. Thought you'd keep it considering you've spent money on the body, was expecting to see a decent engine in it this time next year.

Yeh ino that was the plan Alex but ive realised its a loosing game if you keep ploughing money into a corsa, atm it looks great and ive had my fun with it and loved owning it but I think its time to move on imo ive had 4 corsas lol im getting tired of the bumpy ride, I want cummfy leather seats, climate control, cruize control and big reliable power
I plan on getting a red Astra VXR early part of next year if I can get enough money together...

ye haha the brakes work don't they but ye deff all good fun
i really do wish you would just keep it as a long term project and do what you wanted to do originally and make it like new under neath, have a vxr but this as a slow long term project

Fair play, is it too late to buy a runabout, and use it towards the Scrappage scheme? Or you buying second hand?
Astra's are lovely cars, I think they'll drop in price a lot this time next year though, as the mk6 vxr will be out then.
Nice cars to drive, but after corsa's the only problem is, it's a little too smooth, so you don't feel you're going as fast as you actually are. : (
What are the plans with the vxr? Face it, it won't be staying standard

I did have another plan of buying an MK4 Astra GSI and C20LET the corsa but I just think a VXR would be better in the long run..and the scrappage scheme was an option but I think it runs out soon and you need to own it a year which is Feb for me...
I know what you mean about it being smooth but its nice to know it can handle the power and stop just as good too, especialy with the big brake upgrade!
Plans would be light weight wheels, lowering springs, rarb, lsd, remus fmic and a remap..would take a long time to get to that point though as its not like modding a corsa...the mods are like £1000 each

Nice cars though, what is your price range?
Have you thought of anything else? Focus RS (mk1), E46 M3 etc. Or do you have your heart set on one?
Plans sound good though, Imagine a Red VXR on CH's... in anthracite

Budget would be like 13k and yeh I do have my heart set on one lol...couldnt get insured on an M3 and that would prob loose its appeal after a bit and cost to much to maintain judging from some threads on here...
Mmmmm BBS CH's sounds good that idea does!
