What will the X20XEV achieve? Isn't the 2.0 a dis-pack and the 1.8 coil ignition module though?

the 2.0 is a coil pack, same as i had on my 1.6, and the standard 1.8 one is a ignition module
im running a zetec one atm, what a vauxhall one

the gotech directly fires the zetec coil, it will directly fire the ecotech coil to, but due to the way the original 1.8 corsa coil is wired internally to wire it to the aftermarket management was too mch effort at 11pm, so it was easier to wire up a zetec one warren had.
cant go wrong with an ecotec or zetec coil tho IMO!
be good to see it up and running with the proper engine in it warren, good stuff!

You should be able to use the XE1 coilpack if you can use an XEV one

the disc pack is direct indivialy firing, so has 4 coils, as opose to 2, like on the xev one

Is there any difference in the way the engine will run if put on a discpack or was it only done for aftermarket to be compatible?

z18xe has been management, cat in manifold, different cams, fbw throttle, and different cranksensor location
not much of a update, been to busy fitting a lsd in a astra gsi last week, and now got a dbilas turbo to remove and fit onto another car, so not much progress is being made
exhasust has been welded up, as cracked, due to too much engine movement on gearchanges, so have strenghtened the back box, and made a custom rear gearbox mount filled it with windscreen sealant!
going to pick up another complete engine next week too, to start work on that at some stage
got the knacked engine built up for a proper dummy build, have had a piston machined more, to use as a test piston.
lee303 has sent me some solid tappets, so can check thing properly
might be running properly by end of september hopefully!
